What an awesome adventure. Happiest Birthday Chris! 🎂 💕 Loved how those dolphins were playing and swimming with the boat. Very cool how you saw the dolphins working together to catch fish. Then of course the pelican swoops in to try and catch the leftovers. Chris you were so calm while your gator friend just paid attention to every word you said. Great video y'all! Miss ya! ❤️

This trip is more exhilarating in a kayak. Camping on the beach in Florida Bay and on Chickie's in Whitewater Bay are some of my most precious memories. Gators, Crocs, manatees, turtles and countless species of birds, those kayak trips were very spiritual and humbling.

Brought back good memories of trips down there in the past. Living in Central Florida the Everglades Nation Park is a great place to vacation and have a grand time. Been threw it in a 16 footer with a 40 H.P. outboard when fishing. The natives like to body surf ( 0.33 mark in the video ) in the boats wake as you run along in the gulf of Mexico. Other times with a 16 foot canoe with them swimming along looking at me and camping for several nights.

Wonderful trip! So glad you saw this part of Florida. ❤ Thanks for the memories too. As a Wisconsin girl transplanted to Homestead this was our stomping ground for years! Love the Lorelei. Fun seeing toilet seat cut at the end. 😂 You need to kayak in the mangroves next trip. We switched from our sailboat in the Keys to land yachts some years ago and left south Florida. This really made me miss it. 😊

Great video!! Glad the Dolphins showed up. You need to add an item to your bucket list. My favorite picture is when my Granddaughter was around 12 they swam with the Dolphins. The picture is her getting a kiss from the Dolphin. What a smile she had.

What a great video!! Glad the Dolphins showed up. You need to add an item to your bucket list. My favorite picture is when my Granddaughter was about 12 they swam with the Dolphins. The picture is a Dolphin giving her a kiss. She had the biggest smile. When we towed our boats down to the keys on the way back home we spent a day on the St. Johns river around Sandford Florida. Very brackish water and we saw plenty of gators. Locals were water skiing and told us the gators never bother them. Would not have believed it if I didn't see it. As guess the gators down under are different.

Hi guys, we do camp there at the T-loop with your Motorhome. You should do it, and then go to the restaurant and all what you showed. The road to do there is awesome, brand new pavement. Easy nice drive, and very affordable. What I didn’t know is that you can’t get there by small boat. Frame at video.

Do you find navigating around town more difficult with the ram as opposed to your Ford?

It was a very quick adjustment for us. The Ford was a pretty big truck already, with the 35 in tires and 2 in lift and just under 21 ft long. The RAM is the same length, and actually feels a little smaller driving (almost SUV like)....I think because it's not as tall and dosent have the 35 inch off all terrain tires. But of course we had to adjust to the wider hips. We already backed into parking spaces, so the RAM is pretty much the same. Would have been a bigger adjustment if we went with the long bed truck that is 12 to 18 inches longer. 👍

Florida native here. Grandfather fished the park before it was a park and the road was paved to Flamingo. If you really want an experience take a trip through the what we call the backcountry up thru Whitewater Bay to Everglades City about a 99 mile trip one way. That will give you a feel for the Everglades. You were in an area us locals call “out front” or Florida Bay. Still enjoyed your video. Love seeing people experience it for the first time.

Sorry -I'm not a charter captain - just doing a tour of my favorite place with some fellow RV-ers. However, from the Keys you can look up a number of Eco Adventure companies or look through the website of the Florida Keys Fishing Guides Association. Out of Flamingo, you can search for fishing captains (Capt's Benny Blanco, Steven Tejera, Mike Huchisson, Eric Herstedt or Ryan Booth).

Wow I really loved that and it’s already on my list. Ask that guy about “bounty” on the head of those pythons who are eating the smaller animals-alligators used to eat so I blame the pythons for any testy attitude alligators have down there.

We didn't get a chance to talk about the Pythons, but the change at Flamingo has been dramatic. 25 years ago when my wife and I first started camping at Flamingo in tents (we now have a Class A Diesel), there were racoons and rabbits everywhere, especially at the campground. I can't remember the last time I saw one of either at Flaming.. and we're there nearly ever weekend. As a wetland biologist, I kill a few pythons and tegus a year. For most of us, the bounty isn't worth it - it's more important to make a minuscule dent on the invasive population.
