Yes!! It’s gotten extremely expensive to eat out especially with drinks and/in Florida! I love the cooking segment at the end! Thanks for your hard work you two!

If you wanted to see sharks and manatees you should have gone to Robbie’s Fish Camp in Islmarado. You can even hand feed carp. Very interesting and fun place. After getting a better look of the Sunset Grill, I realized we stopped there on our way home from the Keys. Loved this place!

That looked like an absolutely fabulous day. You are so right about eating out. Portions are smaller, and prices are bigger. Your Grouper dinner looked tasty and healthy. Chris looked like she had a little buzz on. Louie and June are so darn cute.

The timer method for cooking fish/chicken is great, I actually used a chess timer when I was learning. Thanks guys, fun video.

Yeah, I bought a thermometer pen to temp my food. It changed the way I cook. I never have to worry about under cooked chicken , fish or steaks again. I like my steak medium well. That's 155 degrees. I temp it at 155 and if it has enough color to suit me I pull it off. Perfect steak every time. Perfect grilled chicken. I bought one with the temp printed on it so you can't mess it up. Enjoy the Key West vids. I could say some day I would like to visit but it would jinx me so I'm not gonna say it. *😜

that looked like a pretty darn good RV day. We often share a meal in a restaurant. Not even necessarily for the cost savings, but because the portions served are often so huge. As we get a little older and are trying to stay nice and healthy, I find it silly to consume 2 days worth of calories in one meal 😳. Although when we are out with the rig we tend to prepare most meals ourselves at camp. Less expensive for sure, but generally simply healthier and better....plus of course there is no driving required when we have the mandatory wine....everything in moderation :) As always, safe travels....

If you’re not already using it use avocado oil or coconut oil, they have a higher temperature threshold and work better in when you’re frying fish actually really good. That grouper looked really nice. Enjoy. Have fun enjoy the keys bye-bye

If you haven't been there go to Blue Heaven in Key West. Also, in Marathon is Sombrero Beach. Nice park there and the beach is pretty nice. Sometimes you get seaweed on the beach but that's nature for ya. Go right down Sombrero Beach Road.

We love the Keys! We ride our bikes over the 7 Mile Bridge every November as we are biking and kayaking from Key Largo to Key West. That bridge is always a highlight of the experience!! And Party Foul with the spilled wine on the boat - oh no!!!

Love the Keys, that fish looks so good, do you like Red Snaper? That's my favorite fish. I usually put lime on the fish. Nice sunset. Remember the old bridge....have a great time, enjoy a d stay safe....by the way the puppies are really cute.....

Great video. Just can't beat dolphins. When we towed our boats down there a few decades ago we saw them a few times. Even jumped in the water with snorkels and tried to interact. They did circle us but never got that close. I think my favorite picture ever was eight years ago when my Granddaughter was 12. She did a swim with the dolphins and the picture was the dolphin giving her a kiss. So precious.

My husband and I spent $75 for breakfast last week - we were like “where was the gold leaf” 😂 2 omelettes, side of bacon, side of sausage and an avocado. We looked at each other - WTH! Then we left a 15 tip! $90 for eggs!

The old rusty railings on the Pidegon Key bridge were the original rails from the Overseas Railroad. I’ve ridden my bike over the seven mile bridge many times. Headed south it’s so fun. Riding north, usually a stiff headwind.

Watching you guys is the next best thing to actually being there ! The last few times we’ve been to Key West were via a cruise ship. We do the usual “Duval Shuffle” and have a great time just taking in all the funky ambiance.

@@IreneIronTravelsThe voters in Key West passed a law limiting the size and number of cruise ships that could dock, but the governor vetoed it. I can see both sides of the argument - many locals find it super annoying to have so many “visitors”, and some merchants actually said that they get so much business from people flying in or driving in that they don’t need the cruise ship business. But cooler prevailed and cruise ships are allowed again.

Fun video guys!!! Enjoyed the way you guys covered a lot of bases/things to do and what the day entailed!!! My wife and I will split a meal a lot of times, just bcuz its, #1 cheaper, and #2, I have more room for a couple of 🍻’s or 🍻🍺🍻🍺🍻. Almost 100% of the time when we do Mexican food, we split bcuz they always give you chips and salsa. That alone will just about top the tummy of with a couple of🍻 👍😃🍻🍷

I love your cooking tips and delicious looking healthy meals. What is the hot plate thingie you have your skillet on? And why do you use that rather than a burner? Does it cook the fish more evenly? This video makes me want to go back to the keys. I’ve only been once.

Hi Linda. Thank you!!! This is an induction cooktop. I like to use this vs propane for several reasons: 1) Save propane and save money 2) Faster heat 3) More even heat 4) Keep the RV cool. The propane gets HOT 5) I don't burn my utensils or arms. We bought this induction cooktop back in the van five years ago and it still works great!! bit.ly/47oLis0
