Which will be the first App you lock ?

Apple really needs to have a native to locking apps. It's honestly embarrassing how a feature like this hasn't been implemented yet, especially with how easily faceID works right now. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Apple just needs to make a secure folder like Samsung where you can keep pictures, files and apps in it that you don't want people having access to. It's 2021 and Apple still lacks basic features that other phones have had for years. It's so annoying and frustrating.

i lock my sms and calls but i can still see the messages that i sent and receive and also who i call. would be batter if the apps are locked with no viewing. still appreciated

Short cut app not available on iphone 6?

But we can’t freeze the shortcut app. Anyone can disable the automation in shortcut. If there’s the way to lock shortcut app the tell us…

I would not recommend doing this as I got locked in an app for ages with no way out. Don’t do this if you don’t wanna get stuck in an app.

They could get into the shortcuts app and remove the automation easily tho

Can the shortcuts be locked? I cannot locate it as a possible application to set a rule against in the drop-down. It seems that all of these locks are useless if someone just opens my non locked shortcuts.

That’s REALLY smart, I knew shortcuts had a ton of potential but even to me someone who grew up with technology as it went from literal floppy disks to now. I appreciate all this technology so much more than all these spoiled brats these days. I grew up pretty wealthy and the best I had (and wish I still had) was all my transformers toys, Jurassic park figures, power rangers and TMNT. For fun I remember being 5 and going late at night to the park across from my school and we would shoot off this rocket that used warfare pressure to go like 250 feet. Stuff like that are the good memories I have with my dad growing up. I doubt kids have many “just great memories with their parents that don’t somehow include dumb tech”. For my mom when she was alive my best memories I had were being 5 in 1990 and going to Big Sur and Yosemite for camping. No phones, didn’t have a game boy (I don’t think they were out) and just books and adventuring to “pass the time”. I only put quotes because kids definitely wouldn’t understand that now a days. For them 5 days without a phone is on par with crimes against humanity, it is absolutely pathetic honestly. My niece/‘sis’ (she was my half sisters daughter who was born same year as me) and I used to just have fun running off being kids. I don’t think these children even know how to be kids anymore…I sadly think that died at some point in the last 15 years. Being a kid meant going over your buddies house to stay the night and play N64 all night or an old school Sierra computer game and then the next day go play 2 vs 2 in football or street hockey. You’d also skateboard up to the local center or park and watched others play softball or baseball. Man what fun days those were, you had to make sure that you called your parents to let them know you might be coming home late as well haha. I’m sure all this sounds just awful to woke young kids but having to actually be resourceful, not reliant on tech and happy with little, just made up much more appreciative people when we first started seeing the expansion of “computers” the same ones they had taught us “typing class” in 3rd grade. Because as I remember my teacher telling me 28 years ago, “you MIGHT need to be able to type fast in your adult life “. No one born into this tech could ever appreciate it, it’s pretty pathetic. Like the very idea of headphones like Airpod pros is mine blowing from the perspective of “ear buds” themselves being a massive jump forward. But ya these kids will never understand and that’s fine. I’m happy I grew up in a much better time and saw things they never will that make anything they’ve experienced pale in comparison.
