Seeing Johnny Sexton holding back his tears brought a tear to my eye. It was a world class quarter final but New Zealand brought they're A-game tonight and they deserved to win. For it was a real honor to watch the Ireland team fight to the death in what was a nail biter of a game. I'm still so proud of our Irish team and proud to be Irish. Weldone to New Zealand!☘️

Bossed at the breakdown for the most part, line out malfunctioning again, scrum issues and some poor decision making. Despite the fierce opposition, Ireland were poor. The irony is they nearly won it in the end had it not been for Barrett holding up that ball over the try line. Not good enough from Ireland tonight, they didn't bring their A game and that's what'll hurt this Irish group the most.

AB's dismantled Ireland's game. Pure and simple. 30+ phases of slow motion rugby showed that Ireland had run out of puff and ideas. The AB's did that to them. Ireland looked totally subdued near the end. The honeymoon wasn't going to last a century like the AB legacy has. The AB's were playing for over a century of history. Not merely the past 5 years or so. Many teams have done this including Australia and South Africa who have won multiple RWC's. The challenge for Ireland is, now that teams know how to beat Ireland, can they raise the bar like the AB's and the Bok's can and do? We shall see.

What a spectacle but i always had in the back of mind the ABs were going to pull this one off. How will this affect the Irish psycologically is immense. Unfortunately the qaurter final monkey remains.

Can I just say this. It's not a dig at Ireland but it may help you in future. South Africa and France both have our respect because they have genuinely earned it over the years by not talking themselves up against us. Also don't provide ammunition by sledging our captain in a game Peter O'Mahony did this and we don't forget those things. Sometimes we need a kick up the butt to remind us how well we can play, and you guys gave us that. We are good friends with SA and France because they respect us and have earnt that right by beating us in RWC games. Also don't play your top team each week, rotate your squad our depth and experience showed when it counted, and we weren't as fatigued as you and had very little injuries.
