Year is 2022, I'm way past a dozen of these swabs and I always feel violated somehow. But I appreciate the consistency this machine can provide whereas a tired personel may have various effects. This needs either speed or control over the patient. A human can hold still the patient involuntarily shaking their head around from prolonged nose tickles, or rather needs to be done so fast that the patient would need so stand still like a second without giving them a time to react.

You should put a little teddy bear on top, so that it looks less scary for the user.

Again, looking on this model, I wonder which idiot decided to reach that part through all sensitive nose tissues, whereas the mouth is much more open and not so sensitive. Yes, there is a turn there, but the distance is much smaller till that adenoids. And as a scientist myself I don't believe that virus is concentrated on that part only and in the same time not present on a "oropharynx", where one could take much bigger sample volume without so much discomfort. Final reasoning - doctors that check the size of adenoids look at them though a mouth, not through the nose!!!! All these two years I avoided doing these terrible tests. No cafe, no cinema, no travels. Home office. Nothing just by a reason - No way I would allow someone to enter and twist something so deep inside my nose.
