It's like a poem when you play it, or a beautiful nocturne. Compare this recording to the performance of Lugansky, they're vastly different. And I don't mean to imply that one is better than the other - both are superb - but it is fascinating just quite how much a piece can vary depending on the pianist. Bravo!!

Everyone has different interpretations and approach in different piece. Lugansky and lankova are really good at Rachmaninoff. I mean honestly, lankova is the king piece of elegie no.1, while Lugansky is the king piece of moment musicaux op 16 no 4. I really respect both Lugansky and Lankova

Encore un prélude bien singulier de Rachmaninov. Je suis tellement d'accord avec le commentaire évoquant le ressenti "onirique" de cette œuvre. On flotte sur le clavier comme en plein rêve, et un peu comme la belle interprète nous le montre à 2:20. On dirait un chat noir, haha. 🖤 Merci infiniment pour tout ces instants hors du monde. Dans les nuages... 🎶☁️🌤️☁️🎵

Hermosa Interpretación de esta Pianista . Los Preludios de Rachmaninoff , son muy dificiles de Ejecutar .Y ella lo hace Magistralmente , suena tan Fluido como un " Arroyuelo" que corre serpenteando cuesta abajo .Es Maravillosa la forma y Soltura con que toca .Elegante y pareciera facil su Ejecucion pero detrás hay mucho tiempo de Estudio frente al Piano.Mis Felicitaciones y Admiracion para esta joven Pianista .Gracias por subir este Hermoso Video .Desde México Saludos 👏👏👏👏👏👏🎹🎼🎶🎶⚘⚘⚘⚘💗🇲🇽💗

Fantastic technical reading with a really individual/personal flair. I would perhaps prefer just a little less sentiment at a slightly slower pace allowing for that tiny additional space/separation between each note so that the intrinsic drama of the piece can flow almost without encouragement. I'm currently learning this music and yours is one of the interpretations (at least out of the various examples here on KZfaq) which I feel most closely aligns with my feelings about the piece. Thank you for sharing your work so generously.

So many interpretations are possible. For me, this prelude is about the raging and howling snowstorm and human voices lost in the dark icy cold night.. From there, the choice of tempo, articulation, and voicing 🤗🎹
