Bonjour Irina Bravo et merci pour cette très belle interprétation du nocturne de Chopin, sans doute l'un des plus bouleversants de son oeuvre. J'apprécie particulièrement que vous respectiez le tempo de la dernière partie : doppio movimento. Ce n'est pas le cas de la plupart des pianistes! Dommage que je n'ai pas pu venir vous écouter Salle Cortot, mais ce sera pour une autre fois, j'espère! Alain 🎼🙏

They blinded him but he received the gift of moving the hearts of humans with his song" No need for you to go blind and dwell in a darkness that would hone your poetic gifts, as Milton, blind himself, put it. You move the hearts of the humans being open to all the bondage of our passing condition. A desirable if rare gift. Thank you from a shaken admirer.

At loss of words. Never understood Chopin like now. Truly moving, deep, yet under the fog of a veiled and distant melancholy. To be heard only once for now. Too "touchant".

These are all very good. Your piano touch is excellent. May I ask, do you use the pedal at all? What is your opinion regarding using the pedal for Bach in general?

Thank you for your question. It depends; in this particular Variation, I don't use the pedal because I want to create a transparent and delicate texture. But I can use a little pedal in other Variations, especially the slow ones, because it gives me more colours. I don't have a goal to imitate the harpsichord on the piano, so completely avoiding the pedal doesn't make sense to me. However, I think the pedal should be used with respect to the Baroque style of this music and the unique characteristics of each piece.

Dear Irina, The concept is very good. Chopin and Scrjabin in one concert. I have found op.68 no 4 a Mazurka, where Chopin goes clearly toward Scriabin, especially at the end of the piece. Marvelous. Thanks for the video posting. Yours Emil

Очень часто его слушаю в Вашем исполнении, и не думаю, что хоть кто - то в этом мире сможет исполнить подобным образом.Браво. Спасибо, что приоткрываете нам дверь в мир прекрасного и делитесь секретами Вашего мастерства. Вы не только прекрасный иполнитель и интерпретатор, Вы ещё и Учитель.
