Opened in late 2021, Iris Place is St. Vincent de Paul's newest affordable-housing property in Eugene, Oregon. Set in the heart of the River Road neighborhood, the thoughtfully and sustainably designed complex includes 53 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments for qualifying low-income individuals and families. Built with an emphasis on energy efficiency, resiliency, community - and long-term affordability and stability for tenants - Iris Place represents a responsible type of development needed now more than ever to address the escalating housing availability crisis for low-income renters.
This innovative and collaborative project brought together SVdP, the City of Eugene, River Road area neighbors, and a variety of funding partners to boost the city’s inventory of quality affordable housing.
