Irish ballad that would later be used as the melody of "The Bonnie Blue Flag" in 1861.
It makes reference to Queen Victoria's visit to Ireland, the Crimean War, and the last verse is believed by me to be a reference to the 2nd Opium War that took place in 1860 with the French and English allied forces.
