The only time when it's really appropriate to eat a wall, is if you're lost in the woods, and a witch invites you into her gingerbread house, but then you find out that she's planning to eat you, and you're locked in a gingerbread room, and you need a way to escape. Then I think you should eat through the wall.

Yep. For those asking, pica is when you crave and then eat non edible things. Sometimes it's due to a vitamin deficiency. One time I told my doctor that I eat powdered clay and crave earthy, powdered things including chalk. She immediately knew to test for an iron deficiency and that turned out to be the cause. Now that I take an iron supplement, I don't crave those things.

my strange addiction is one of my favorite shows. has anyone seen the sister show where people only eat one type of food? the first episode was about a woman who only ate cheesy potatoes. wow. that's a pretty crazy show too. the woman who is addicted to drinking nail polish is probably my nomination for the grossest strange addiction.

Laura really hit the nail on the head with the "modern freak show" thing. That's exactly what we get out of watching stuff like this. Also, Elgaaaa! I feel like it's been a million years since she's been on! She's so kind-hearted. Most people watch these shows and are just like, "These crazy fuckers!" But with Elga it's like, taxidermy? It's a tribute to the animals. Eating drywall? It's a coping mechanism to deal with the loss of her mother.

I can't believe they didn't show the one with the guy in love with his car. The most hilariously tragic line ever spoken was by the dad when the son told him about it. He said "Is this because of the divorce?" Gets me every time.
