An M47 Patton dropped down to tier 8, with spaced armor slapped on it from the Super Pershing. I love my American Mediums, and the Iron Arnie is no exception. Such a good tank.

Tier 8 medium tanks with more pen than the tier 9 medium, and more armor than the tier 9 heavy. The definition of fair and balanced.

Yeah I don't know about that. When I'm shooting at it, it certainly seems to be the case, but when I'm driving it, everyone and their mom are penning me left right and centre

Still remember the first hit I took in this tank. I was hull down, facing off against a T-29. He shot straight AP at me. Went right through, did near full damage. That set the tone. Mine should be called the Squishy Arnie. It don't bounce crap no matter how much I hide or angle.

haha mine is the same shit. every damage goes right in weakspots. thats when wargaming better not want you 2 play. only thing helps is camo. and some bushes dont work or camo have rng 2. first 15 battles 90% wr. now i am below 50.

I picked this one up and I actually had a bit of buyers remorse. I also compared this tank to the Super Pershing, trading accuracy for better accuracy. It's like a heavy pretending to be a heavy. I need to switch out the Turbo for Improved Aiming... And yes, this tank is extremely beginner friendly.

What do you mean OP? It only has the upper plate of a Maus (almost) and and even thicker turret with the same gun penetration but is a medium at 2 tiers lower! I think you are exagerating. (Yes, I am 1000000% sarcastic).

@@lodagin at the same time, the gun handling is mediocre at best, reload time is kinda lengthy. Sure, armour can do a bit, but this tank is penetrable if you know what you are doing

People say its not op, but in the hands of a pro, it is scary. It's also easy to play. In a game where my wifi disconnected I was out in the open yet still bounced 5.5k and was left with 600 hp

Wot now a days has a lot more armoured vehicles. You should carry at least 1/3 of your ammo as prem rounds. I dont like either, but doesnt change the game.

@@victorsocorrog.hreisemnou843yeah i learned the hard way, i came back from a 4 year hiatus and the new tanks are so well armored, took me about 3 weeks to just say F it, i dont care about the credits anymore, lets slap the cocky bastards. Also resetted almost all of my loader to get intuition

This thing can bounce so much damage it's not even funny. Get a hull down position and you have insane potential. The hull frontally is a wall unless you are firing APCR or AP with 280+ penetration. SU-130PM will suffer a lot to pen this thing unless it hits the cupola but keep in mind that the cupola isn't that big as in the M48 Patton or the M60.

This thing is tier X on console. It gets 390 damage, 268 standard pen and 320 gold pen and I believe 2600 hp.

I've played 170 games with this tank and sitting on 58% of wins, strongly agree, it's a medium tank with heavy tank properties. Hull down play is acceptable but only on medium ranges, if close, must move quite a bit so the enemy not have easy shots in your cupola. I like this tank so much that the 2 out 3 equipment is bounty max upgraded

I played yesterday with my udes. There was 5 iron arnies on our side vs 4 on the other lol. They were the only ones left alive at the end. Fun to watch them battle. Also can i say how much i hate bourrasque

@@curtislaketek2952 Considering WG put it on sale it's not a surprise...Like a whole week for everyone to get it as well as the Iron Arnie. It's not crazy to think these two tanks are the most competitive tier 8 mediums at the moment as well as the Progetto 46.

Think i prefer this to my BZ, its an awesome tank, the only bad thing is dpm but as its well armoured i dont mind, as long as you had a support or 2 with you, you can melt anything tier 8 and under with ease... tier 9 and 10 its still very strong. That being said it can be very trollish, armour and gun, had some sus pens against it from tanks/rounds that shouldn't off but hey RNG. Overall might be my fav premium, that or skoda or lis, has almost everything you need to spank the enemies. Had 3 games with 5k plus dmg in a row the other day, awesome tank, id say its very very strong, maybe op, not broken, as if you play it bad you will get spanked very quickly

I think this tank should not exist in T8. If you can't hit the weak points frontally you are screwed with most tanks on this level. Even T10 struggles with it but it's 300 pen value is too, too much. Another freak is the BZ-176 which, i think, changed the game. Especially in T8 skirmishes.

I am very conflicted on this tank. One the one hand - it is definitely a very strong vehicle. Armor is better than most tier 8 heavies and with a turbo it is not so slow. But the gun... it sometimes hits the most ridiculous snap shots and then misses easy weak spots at point blank range. 300mm HEAT is awesome but the reload takes forever. Very strong tank, but can be quite frustrating to play.

But why would you buy or play this tank over Skoda or Progetto or Bourasque? Gun is shit most of the time and reload is too long for that alfa damage, only thing why you would play that tank over those three is that is much easier to play because is single shooter...and that's it.

The gun is extremely bad and the armor does not exist versus tier 9 and 10. It has too little Hp and usually at tier 10 you are destroyed in 2 hits
