Iran launched more than 300 drones and missiles from its soil towards Israel on Saturday night. Tehran said it was in response to the Israeli airstrike on the Iranian embassy in Syria’s capital Damascus that killed several IRGC commanders. However, 99% of the Iranian attacks were intercepted by Israel and its allies. The Iron Dome, David’s Sling and Israeli fighter jets worked together to shoot down the Iranian drones and missiles. Meanwhile, the United States, United Kingdom and Jordan also shot down projectiles that were fired by Iran. Many drones and missiles were also fired by Iran-backed proxies in Yemen, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq. US warships shot down the threats from Yemen and Syria. Jordan shot down Iranian missiles that flew over its airspace. Fighter jets of the Royal Air Force also took part in the defence of Israel.

I don't think that. Israel is only fighting with Hamas and some smaller group which doesn't even have a proper missile . This is the first time after 6 days war that Any country have attack the Israel. Iran is far away from Israel which help it defend it from the far away target . Iran doesn't have powerful ballistic missile . It took Israel , UK, US , Jorden , Saudi to stop a Country Iran . They were also prepare because iran had issue a warning against it so it help them. Israel is smaller country to its easy to defend itself. if Russia or China or US or India will have to face something like that then they will have a problem because they have much more land mass and no country can defend every corner of their country with larger land mass .

The other factor is the cost. Iron dome system expensive to restock compared to cheaper drones. Basically its an attrition of money. Doesn't matter whether the drones hit. To win you have to deplete armaments or cause more cost to your opponent. Need a cost effective anti drone defence that isn't costly.
