Fantastic reaction! Also, re: your question about how Obadiah could be so cold and sadistic toward someone he's known his whole life - I always assumed that Obadiah had always expected to be the heir to the Stark empire after Tony's father, but then Tony's genius from a young age completely changed that expectation. So Obadiah feels like Tony (even as a child) has been taking something huge away from him, something he feels he worked hard for and deserves.

Normally I skip MCU reactions if the person doesn't have a clean slate. I'm so glad I stuck with this one. I think it's going to be a fun journey with you!

The full Iron Man suit weighs about 85 pounds, I remember reading. They use the full suit less and less as it gets "more advanced" (more CGI) in later movies. But wearing it for this film was apparently quite taxing for the stunt guys and Downey, who I don't' think ever actually wore it after this film. I imagine it gets really hot and claustrophobic.

Great reaction! Thanks. The iron man suit would weight a lot, but the core of the suit is what is called an exoskeleton (you see that when he is making the 'missile' in the begining and he has it on his leg). The exoskeleton takes all the weight and just enhances his movements... so it is where all the strength comes from and where the weight is borne. The armor and everything else in the suit sits on it and then he just has to move normally while it multiplies his strength basically. Our real life military is working on exoskeletons now. It's always funny to me to watch younger reactors not know who Jeff Bridges is and immediately suspect him. At the time we were all, "it's the dude! He abides!"

Trust me don’t skip the Incredible Hulk your gonna need to watch it cause later in the future if you don’t watch it it will make no sense to you so don’t skip it

Welcome to the MCU fandom! I just found your channel! Great reaction, hopefully you enjoy the rest of your journey. I have been a fan of the movie & television side of Marvel since I was 11 and I still love it to this day. That being said, I am not a fan that has blinders on and refuses to acknowledge the true issues they have had. Showcasing a more diverse cast is not an issue to me, if anything it is a positive and I hope that Disney and all its subsidiaries continue to explore a more inclusive approach to casting and storytelling. The MCU has had a rough few years of late. Some of which is their own doing, but there is a lot that happened completely out of their control and it caused some narrative problems as well as some quality issues, ranging from story and script writing to the visual effects, etc… With everything that has happened in the world over the past few years, as wells as the tragic passing of one of their lead actors, Chadwick Boseman, I think they are still doing a phenomenal job of creating entertaining movies and shows. In a franchise as big as the MCU has become and the fact that it is still growing, there are bound to be ups and downs in quality. No spoilers, but it is clear to me what goal the MCU is currently working towards, and it is one that I have been waiting to see play out on the big screen since I was 11 and watching Saturday morning cartoons. At this point we are closer than ever so why stop watching now, especially since for the most part it is still entertaining even with its many flaws. Not everyone in the fandom shares this optimism for the future of the MCU and that is ok also, what a dull world it would be if we all agreed on absolutely everything. Now to check out your Hunger Games videos while I put dinner in the crockpot to cook 😆

I loved all your thoughts and reactions here, you are so entertaining! Definitely gonna subscribe. Glad you're starting this journey, it's awesome and definitely worth the time. I'm sorry to hear your sister doesn't like the MCU now, but I hope you don't let that influence how you may feel later on because I was someone only passively into Marvel, seeing like a few big movies in theaters, but it wasn't until the more recent movies and shows and Phase 4 that got me to LOVE this series and I went back and watched it all in order like you and I'm still enjoying myself. So I don't know if that means much from a stranger on the internet, but it is what it is 🤷🏿‍♀If you don't mind me asking, do you have a plan or schedule for MCU releases? I only ask because there are a LOT of movies and it can take a long time to get through them, so I always recommend watching at least weekly. And it'll be nice to know when to anticipate them :) Personally I don't care if you skip "The Incredible Hulk" or not (I never rewatch it on my rewatches or in reactions lol), I think the few things that do come back from that movie are easily explainable, but if you want the full experience I think you should still watch it! Edward Norton plays Bruce Banner/the Hulk and he's a great actor so you might enjoy that. Even if he does change to Mark Ruffalo later, who I much prefer. Speaking of actor changes, Terrance Howard, who plays Tony's best friend James 'Rhodey' Rhodes, here changes to Don Cheadle in Iron Man 2 and for the rest of the MCU! I love Don Cheadle so this was always a fantastic change for me, but some people get confused by the change, especially if they didn't pay much attention to Rhodey in this movie.

I just wanted to say honey you look SO GOOD in that InuYasha shirt, and I like how your hair band matches! So glad you're experiencing these movies btw. I was 5 years old when Iron Man came out, and I grew up *with* the MCU. It was a very special experience, and I can't wait to see how the MCU affects you too!

11:25, Pepper is the epitome of an old school women who gets what she wants by being invaluable to the man she wants. Since you know how this all ends, Pepper was always supportive but pragmatic towards Tony's mission as a businessman and a superhero. Given the high stakes they were forced to play in how could he not fall for her? She is definitely a ride or die chick. Looking back on the Iron Man films after a decade, I keep chuckling when other characters insinuate they are a couple already in Iron Man 1. Tony didn't know it but everyone else saw their vibe from jump.

I was pretty much obsessed with it, when I first saw it XD As for whether you should watch the Hulk, personally I don't remember if I've actually watched the whole thing through from start to finish before, because I've found I got bored? I should probably give it another go sometime, but I'd say it's totally your call as to whether you want to watch it or not, I don't think there's much with major relevance to the future MCU movies in it, from what I remember though?

34:50, in the comics Obadiah isn't Stark Enterprises's COO and Tony's right hand man. He is actually a rival businessman who takes over the company. So when I heard what his name was I was like "Yep he is the bad guy"

Oh.. There's probably gonna be increase in views, and a lot of toxicity coming. Don't skip on 'The Incredible Hulk' just 'cos of change in actor. Terrence Howard is only Rhodey (Tony's friend) in this, he gets recast too. 🤞 you enjoy these movies. Marvel had Spider-Man, X-Men, Hulk, Fantastic Four and all characters you'll see in MCU, but they had to sell away the rights to A list characters (the most loved by comic fans) to Sony, Fox and Universal. So that's why MCU started with Iron Man. Sony cut a deal with Marvel Studios for making Spider-Man movies. Marvel Studios technically doesn't have rights to Spider-Man yet. Fox was acquired by Disney a few years ago. So, X-Men and Fantastic 4 are slowly being foreshadowed in latest releases. And Hulk..they cast him as a side character to keep his story happening. Universal (rumors) contract ends in 2024 (or 2025). Only exception being 'The Incredible Hulk' film that is part of MCU and has him as main character. His story starts from there. So, watch it. It is under appreciated. Eventually you'll have to watch Hulk (2003), X Men franchise, FF4 films because there probably will be callbacks to them (which is what MCU is loved for). Re: hating newer projects.., - the quantity of them increased 'cos Disney's returning CEO wanted more projects for more money. That has now been brought down to normal again. - They also created bad working conditions for VFX artists as demand for it increased in their projects. (VFX artists finally unionized!). - A lot of nostalgia merchants hate it too. There's plenty of bad stuff in movies which is ignored by their rose tinted glasses. - Some hate it because more women characters are brought in focus. -and some hate it just for hating it. I'll never understand hate watching stuff. My thoughts - I like MCU, but I like other stuff more that I'd love if you reacted to and shared your thoughts on!!

23:20, Tony Stark has not only a suit of armor but a ton of plot armor. The surgery, infects and the fall should have easily ended him. But as you saw in Endgame, there is a reason he survives all of this.

so most of the people sane enough keep calling twitter twitter; from an economic standpoint it was completely unreasonable to throw away such a valueable brand name and replace it with something so generic that one cannot properly reference it... for example when you try to look up a tweet by using a search engine; also Musk recently needed to tell people that he was deadnamign his child so... another reason for the LGBTIQA+ communities to deadname his platform
