Part of what I love about this show is how fun it is to see Paul Bettany in Comedy Mode again. Guy does goofy so well.

Great reaction as always! You nailed it when you said that everyone’s flaws are on full display. This ep did a great job of highlighting everyone’s weaknesses and how everything can spiral if they don’t improve as a team. Ebra wouldn’t stop reading the article when asked, Tina brought her son unexpectedly (otherwise did great), Marcus got lost in dessert land, Syd cracked under chaos she’s not used to (also doesn’t own up to the preorder or stabbing), Carm’s temper and impatience were unleashed. Richie was the calmest one, thriving in the chaos, but still being Richie and antagonizing Syd in the process.
@amirlewis663818 сағат бұрын
The problem with the preorders is usually they already paid for the food. They could've closed the inside and cancelled the orders that they couldn't have made. But again since they paid like you said that's going to frustrate people because getting money back always takes awhile.

Also, Carmy DOES take responsibility for the issue. Yelling or otherwise, he finished the shift. SYDNEY quit like a punk. You want authority? Toughen up.
@christianseibold33698 сағат бұрын
Eww. If a boss yelled like Carmy yelled, even if I messed up, I would quit instantly, because it's abusive. The entire workplace has been abusive, and there's no justification for it. Sorry, not sorry, but carmy was mismanaging the entire restaurant this whole first season, and then he mismanages and is abusive *again* throughout the rest of the next two seasons. It's almost like you didn't understand the message of the show.
@misskayelizabethdeeСағат бұрын
@@christianseibold3369 ahhh, it’s almost like he’s a mentally unwell person who shouldn’t have been pushed so fast by someone impatient and always interrupting him. Like Sydney.
@michelleneedsahobbyСағат бұрын
Carmy wasn’t being completely reasonable; there was no conceivable way to accomplish the task at hand. Part of leadership is to recognize that and adjust accordingly rather than just yelling expletives at the top of your lungs. Mistakes happen, mitigating them is part of his responsibility. As for Sydney wanting authority, I remember her making it clear with Carmy that she wasn’t looking to have a position of authority back in episode three. She had an experience with it and she realized she wasn’t equipped for it. Sydney made an awful mistake, however, the directions that followed just compounded that error. As I said, everyone’s flaws were on full display in this episode.

Hope you finally got over your issues with putting Sydney on a “perfection pedestal.” Intentions don’t mean anything if you end up stabbing someone and then quitting without taking responsibility.
@michelleneedsahobby49 минут бұрын
😢 What do you mean Sydney’s not perfect? She walks on water, turns water into wine and wine into water. She can cure world hunger with just her smile alone. Sydney doesn’t just walk on water, she glides over it and does pirouettes. Sydney’s perfection doesn’t rest on something so ordinary as a pedestal, please, her perfection rests on a throne carved of gold.

So many gems in this movie but my favorite part is the story about the young fish - he is looking for "the ocean" because the idea of the ocean sounds so grand. But when you're actually in the ocean.... it's just water. Joe thinks he's not living his dream but what he claims to be in love with is playing music. As a music teacher, he does play music - every, single day. Yet he's unfulfilled because "middle school music teacher" doesn't sound grand. But it is literally his dream - he is a professioinal, full-time musician. He just doesn't appreciate it.

Landing is always the most dangerous part of a flight, however landing on an aircraft carrier which is pitching and tossing in the ocean, dealing with a fraction of a runway so you have to get your tailhook to catch 1 of 4 cables and you hit full throttle on final approach so you can touch and go if you miss! Carrier pilots are a different breed than the other jokes who consider themselves pilots 😈
