I'm a week old newbie at video editing. I went with Davinci Resolve because there's no subscription, I like that, and it looked like a pretty good alternative to all the other top end editors that charge an arm and a leg. I decided to just jump in and purchase the license and be done with it. After seeing what this software is capable of I was blown away!! WOW! How do you remember where all the nodes and subsets and menus, etc are? Mind boggling. Great video. People, give this man some work. Subbed.

JESUS MAN! the steps to get to it are insane and yet you make it sound like how to apply butter on toast, lol yesss you keep giving me great ideas for my intros, yesssss what if you want to look like a clown, lol. have to do the makeup before hand? and also could you also darken the face so only the area around the eyes are visible? so do you enjoy challenges or requests from viewers?? cause I have one :D fiverr is awesome btw, use to use it a lot.. A LOT in the past before I started learning to do my own but still I'm going to checkout your link.

2:31 Video editors should allow you to draw freehand, and then add the keyframes to your lines. Would be years faster than click, click, click.

thanks so much man! I really appreciate the kind words! I have a custom built computer. It has a ryzen 7 2700x with 48gb of ram and a RTX 2080ti. I have my Operating system on a 1tb m.2 ssd and then a 2tb ssd drive for other video files i need to get at quick. Then i have 4 more tb of HDD storage on the computer. You dont have to be like me with this haha. I just do this for a living so i need really fast stuff :)

Unfortunately You cant use ae projects in resolve. But try looking it up on youtube :)

How do you learn all that? Did you master Resolve by yourself or you went to some film school? I am learning DR for half a year now, I can't do a lot of practice because of lack of free time, but I watch a lot of tutorials like yours. And I feel like I am scratching the surface of DR capabilities...

Yeah, i mastered it by myself. I wouldnt call myself a master though, i am definitely capable in the program though. So I didnt go to filmschool at all. i just love learning about Editing. Ive been editing for 2 years now. The last year ive spent editing as my fulltime job so I can just mess around all day and try new things. 2 months ago i took this youtube thing to the next level and quit my job where i was editing at so Now i have even more time to explore new things. So i just try new things and see how i can make things happen :) It takes time bro. I've been using resolve for about 9 months now, I used premiere before this.

You're clearly very skilled, but I do wish you slowed down a bit and explained what each step does (check out Javier Mercedes and Casey Faris for what I mean - I think they're good sources to learn from in regards to teaching style). wow what a tutorial! Fast, smooth and it keeps my attention from the beginning to the end. Its amazing what you can do with DR (although very complicated and time consuming...). Just one question: what kind of hardware are you working with. When I work with Fusion, DR crashes a lot. (Intel i7-9750H 9th Gen, 32GB Ram, Nivida GTX 1650i, 1tb SSD)
