The important question is, where is he going ? Has he taken up some other job (out of HAL) ? ..if so where ? The money any Fighter plane seller/Manufacturer willing to give as kick back is So High ! ..that they can easily buy a team of scientists to delay the Indian project. Those Scientist may receive 12 times the salary, but Not much work.. just usual passenger jet mundane work. I do Not know about MoD, but I hope Modi-ji looks into this

We need to ask why Boeing, Lockheed Martin, BAE, GE, NASA etc are filled with Indian engineers and managers. The answer will tell us why even after 75 years, we have not been able to build a world class jet and engine. The answer according to me is to privatize HAL, GTRE, ADA etc and let the likes of L&T, Mahindra, Tata, Kalyani, Reliance take over and give deserving engineers and managers the kind of treatment they deserve. HAL and other DPSUs are good for nothing sarkari dhandas filled with chaff.

People have a problem when MoD tries to do reforms as well. Most of DRDO reforms were geared towards their inability to retain talents and complete projects on time, as was mentioned in the audit report. But people's usual response was to leave the scientists alone and fix other issues in the country. Its as if the only thing people truly want is to get something to whine and cry about.

i wish persons like the great apj abdul kalam sahaab to be the head for HAL, DRDO . We would have our air crafts flying in the air right now. Reforms are indeed necessary in the sensitive fields like HAL, DRDO where our country's security depends. #GodSaveHAL #GodSaveDRDO

AK sir, in HAL HR ppl given top priority, then Finance guys, purchase guys, security and vigilance, Facilities management, design complex and production dept...for promotions. HR wields too much of power in HAL or in PSU , that is detrimental to the organization growth. The finance Guys with out technical background, they also wag their tails delaying the sanctioning of money etc... Sanjay Sharma belongs to ARDC means he must be working under COP and Director R&D... Those who are good at subject ,they bend their head and work...they wont budge to higher ups.... this causes ego clashes...Once ego comes in, the honchos dont bother about the caliber of the persons... the goat gets sacrificed.. SO in order to survive in companies like HAL,BEL etc...you need not be a genius, just be part of the Bhajan Gang and keep praising the bosses every now and then.. The more you are knowledgeable, the more you will be in trouble...so just act dumb..you will get your salary, you will be happy, your family will be happy and the project says TATA, gooddu bye , khatam...!!! who cares for mr.Sharma's exit ,damn it!!!

Anantkrishnan ….HAL is not the highest paying company even in Indian aerospace industry , you don’t even have to go outside India to look at opportunities for bright people ! If any designer stays on to contribute to our defence and technology base while working in a PSU R & D setup ..it’s only because they are passionate about their work , the least HAL could have done was given Sanjay a promotion …they couldn’t have paid him the big bucks he would surely get outside HAL in India or abroad !! If they can’t even do that then they deserve to be losing good talent and soon closing down because of their warped decision making !!

We send IITians straight to Massachusets and bright minds who could build cutting edge technologies end up behind a desk earning billions through algorithms.. must be a weird sense of fulfilment across the system, the ministries, the institutes, the engineers, the babus. A country of slave-traders in a hierarchy of nations finds it hard to move away from its existing business model, I guess.

@manjugoku620618 күн бұрын
It will not even be sold to India
@MrPoornakumar18 күн бұрын
@MrRagool It has happened right in Bengaluru. Outside the high compound wall of one of the premier Defence labs, are located modern buildings of many leading multi-nationals. "Poaching" can not be stopped. First thing is to "respect" true scientists in our labs. Next, unlike most other fields, an "idea" can't be implemented on a time-scale program basis. You can't "order" a scientist to "invent the thing" or else. Patience is required. If XYA did it in a Western country, they hold the secret up their sleeve that none can copy (or guess even), so it is futile to expect that an Indian should do (say develop an aero-engine like what Rolls Royce did). It becomes much more acute in India where there is no environment conducive to Science & Technology. If awareness is here too, they would be patient with a scientist-engineers & wait till he cracks it open; the best "case" is the development of aero-engine that at last culminated in "Kaveri" after half a century, of trial and error sequences.
@MrPoornakumar18 күн бұрын
In Aviation industry (the world over) the interface between "management' and "engineering" isn't smooth. A way should be found to make it friction-free.

People will leave for other companies because of the pay. If the people are paid more, the cost of the production will be higher. The HR departments in the private sector are just as bad. Let there be no illusion that private sector is any better. Why do people switch companies so much in the private sector? They do so because that is the only way to get raise.
@shreejesh546117 күн бұрын
Tejas development is delayed by decades. Our enemies have 5th generation fighter aircraft, we are still working on it. Private companies should be involved in joint productions and developments. Let's sharma ji find high paying pvt job and work for other country, HAL will find replacement and will work.!
