The math trick is pretty easy. You add the second digits of the equation on both side to get the middle number of the final value and then multiply then second digits of the equation to get the last digit of the final value, if the value is greater than 10 add that value to the digit in front. For example 16*17 is, 6+7 = 13 so add 1 to 1 and you get 23 and then 6*7 = 42 so add 4 to 3 and you get 72, so the final value is 272
