The mine sniffing rats are also trained for search and rescue to be able to go deep under rubble through small spaces to find people and other animals. The wear little gps backpacks that have switch they’re trained to press to put a point wear they’ve found something. That way they can make their way back and the people can still see where they found someone. It’s awesome 😊

@@sagedynasty6811I mean not really. Rats are sentient animals, too. Also dogs like having jobs and enjoy what they do. Dogs are also less likely to make a mistake than a human, so aren’t in as much danger of stepping on one. Both animals are brilliant and also equals when it comes to humane requirements.

@@KittyMax97 Yes of course, rats are sentient and I didn't mean one dying was worse than the other. I meant it in the sense that rats are small and aren't heavy enough to set the mines off, whereas a dog stepping on one could kill it.

As far as I know, if anything happened to jostle the plane that badly moments after it got into the air, everyone in the plane would die anyway. There are too many stories about jets that crash shortly after becoming airborn.

yeah, i can also do it (not as far as the guy in the video tho) and for me it's because of a genetic condition called ehlers danlos syndrome that, among other things, makes me super flexible and makes my joints go farther than they should
