An overview of the process for this IRyS illustration. This illustration was my 2nd attempt at trying to draw like Ogipote. The coloring style is a cross between animation and anime illustration coloring method. The whole workflow was simple, straight forward and uses minimal amount of layers. I wanted to be able to draw in this style consistently and I think this short video briefly sums up the entire workflow for anyone to follow!

Thank you for your great study and explorations videos! ^_^ I also analyze this artist's style and here is some information that I really like: 1. All the shape of 3D object can be clearly expressed by line art its self (include light and shadow area - called cell shading). And in Anime Animation production, one main artist as art director can present all information with line art, then pass the line art to other supporter paint color for him (or automatic by computer). This procedure can make the process really really fast. 2. There is no need blending layers for better results, only some retouch for overall animation shot in post-production process. 3. The value, composition and interaction from character to background really close to the way Hollywood movie used in their movies to tell the main story.

First of all =) I love your explanation =) And I as I can see this video is a year old. I think by now know that photoshop has a add noise filter ^^ so you don't have to copy it =) Just a tipp no critique or anything else ^^"
