I love this video concept and your analysis is so interesting! I’m incredibly bad at reading new releases so the only reason I’m somewhat keeping up this year is through buddy reads and book clubs.

I may have already recommended this to you before but I think you would get on with When No One is Watching by Alyssa Cole. It's technically a thriller but I think the mystery elements and the social commentary would appeal to you.

Bring on the tea!!! I see a certain dark lord that I didn't enjoy. Emily Wilde ❤I did like book 1 better but both were great. 😊 I love the stats! Thriller readers hating on mysteries 😠I want to read Past Crimes!!! I have had a hard time getting ahold of a copy, but I do think my library just bought a physical copy of it. Buddy reads galore and I love it!! The Tainted Cup... when will book 2 get here? Interesting that mystery readers aren't as big about giving ratings. Goodreads Choice Awards Predictions are so fun! Can't wait for that. Cascade Failure still makes me angry to this day. The publication years you've read so far are interesting. I find that I typically read more from the year previous to the current year as I'm still excited for the new releases I haven't gotten to yet. Very varied in your reading so far for the year. You're making me curious about my own stats.

Is that not a thing that happens often? A book comes out in the U.K and then a few years later it comes out in the states. I find this weird since the two countries both use the same language. I mean its not like you translated from american english to UK english and vice versa or?? 2024 has been a good reading year for me. Not 10 from this year but some. I would recomend murder on a summer holiday by Kate weston though it is a sequel so pick up the first one first. Overthinking by David fenne is also great. I finished the cursed rose today and it destruer me,so many feels.

I'm reading The Tainted Cup and so far i'm liking it, but not loving it. The vibes are definitely strong, but i think the pacing is a little too fast for me. I feel like the plot is dragging me along rather than me going on a journey with the characters. Other than that i haven't read any 2024 releases, which doesn't surprise me as i generally tend to read more backlist stuff rather than new releases

2024 has been a strong book ywar for me. 2023 was poor . I rarely pick up hyped books. Im hipster like that 😂 But books are published to fast and publishers need to stop chasing trends. Money i know but ugh
