I got mine on sale this past Black Friday from Best Buy(same specs except I’m adding 32GB of RAM) it plays games beautifully at high settings and decent frame rate I’m satisfied with it so far the gaming performance slaps

I want to buy this laptop but it has the Radeon rx 6500m gpu. the 2050 model is 100 dollars more expensive where i live, if i added another 50 dollars i could get a laptop with 3060 inside so i was wondering if the 6500m is good enough? and how comparable is it with the 2050(i only play overwatch ane old triple A games)

It's crazy, cause in the US this may be $600, but here NZ it's $1,200 (i got it on sale at $900 tho). But yeah, this price range is "entry level" to us 😭

By default the frames drop a bit when unplugged (power saving mode). I have got a hour and there was more in the tank.

it’s horrible if not plugged in. If you don’t plug it in you can’t even play roblox at 60fps seriously. Plugged in it is a beast!!!

It wasn't cheap when I got it, It was 900 bucks in 2022 for the 500gb 8ram one. I feel like I got ripped off but I upgraded the ram so at least it's not too bad....

Well if you're talking AAA games then it could handle it but better to go for a 3050/4050 and above

@@user-pd2jk1wc4m Yes AAA games and I'm interested in HP victus with 13420H and 3050 6gb model. Acer and Lenovo are also available in same configuration but are more expensive than Victus and so are 4050 laptops.

would it run rust decently? I want to buy my brother a good but not too expensive laptop so we can play pc games together but I don't want him to worry about performance issues.

Yes it runs rust on high settings over 60fps at all times. On high settings usually get 80 or so fps, with Nvidia DLSS enabled in performance mode even more
