I've done Ayahuasca a couple of times, and I recommend it, but you can do it any week of the year if you really want to. This is Rodgers once again manifesting his biggest weakness, which is a total lack of leadership skills. You simply cannot be a good leader if you are a selfish prick who doesn't care about anyone else except yourself. In the case of Brady, he can make a speech, praise his coaches and teammates, and say that nothing of significance is accomplished individually, and we believe him because his actions were always congruent with his words. In the case of Rodgers, his actions are always contradicting his words.

NFL Insider Suggests Jets QB Aaron Rodgers Is On Ayahuasca Trip This makes zero since to me. Why can't the Ayahuasca Trips happen anytime? He's giving up time during mandatory camp and around $100,000. Bull dodo. Why couldn't this Ayahuasca Trip happen during a more appropriate time. He could take the loss of $100,000 and use it to have complete control over the Ayahuasca Trip. Doesn't it make since he could completely control all aspects of his extracurricular activity. If the rest of us want to take time off from work for spiritual/religious observance that isn't already a paid holiday, WE HAVE TO FOLLOW THE PROCESS AND REQUEST THE TIME OFF. That's the way it goes. I haven't pursued this spiritual practice, but I know people who have. They didn't just skip mandatory things at their workplace to do it. They followed the process everyone else at their workplace had to follow. And that's not even addressing the nature of the spiritual practice. We don't need to mock it. It's not for me, but SOME PART of EVERY RELIGION'S spiritual practice looks COMPLETELY BIZARRE to an outsider. Enacting a ritualized act of metaphorical cannibalism (communion)? Wow....that could sound as odd to some people as telling all the bad things you did to a man in a box who just promises not to tell anyone and tells you an invisible entity forgives you (confession) or a multiple-armed blue god has your back (Hinduism) or making fire next to objects owned by your dead loved ones lets you tell them you miss them (Wicca, on Samhain) or sitting and kneeling different ways facing a certain direction after washing your feet and other body parts makes your life better (Islam) or .....OH MY GOSH the list goes on. I don't care if the guy had a plant. What I DO care about is that by not following the process EVERYONE ELSE WHO WORKS FOR HIS EMPLOYER has to follow, he made it harder for everyone else. Now people will associate that practice with a primadonna who doesn't respect their co-workers. They'll get fired if they do it the way he did, but he gets away with it. He did it wrong.
