No surprise that Andre's creepy behaviour isn't even seen as a problem in the show. He gets all uppity when the episode needs a villain but in the season 3 finale he had no qualms about serving Marinette and Adrien while they were blatantly in separate relationships. Not just that but one episode before, Marinette was the one to decide the ice cream should be the Adrigami pairing and Andre's reaction was comparatively tame, asking Marinette if she was sure and going along with it when she doubled down. Y'know, staying in his lane. If his behaviour was consistent then at the very least you could argue it was intentional. Instead he becomes another example of the wonky writing.

I feel like MLB in its writing is a lot like this - taking every single tiny idea which made fans amused to absurd. Like, there was this ice-cream guy who is just a cute minor character - he gives ice-cream to people, he moves all over around the Paris, he adds some shipping fuel for our characters here and there. You know, makes the town feel more alive and welcoming and establish some minor lore. But NO. Let's make him a freaking weirdo who maniacally ships teenagers together and gets upset to the point of akumatization whenever they appear to like/date someone else. Jesus freaking Christ MLB version of Paris is full of crazy people - and funniest thing of all, it's dangerous to not also ship two kids together cause Andre the ice-cream man is gonna murder you dead.

I don't mind Andres gimmick, but hate his personality: His gimmick is just like a treasure hunt to find him with him trying to find a flavour that you'd think you'd like. Seems like a fun thing to do as a couple while traveling together. I'm pretty sure stuff like this already exists irl. The problem with Andre is, like you mentioned, his personality. He takes his shipping with his ice cream way too seriously and gets too upset when it "fails". Just give them their ice cream and be done with it.

He acts like once the couple dates mean they forever stay with each other. A pathetic lonely man-child thinks that couples breaking up, divorces don't exist. Yeah, it sounds harsh but that show how much he annoys me if he suddenly ships me with a random stranger when I have no interest in relationships.

I can understand Andre wants to give ice cream to people, especially couples, so they can have an excellent time and enjoy their date/day. However, Andre reminds me of those toxic shippers you see in fandoms in general, and he also crosses boundaries/lines a lot. Look at why he's been akumatized. While Marinette was a little rude to Andre in Glaciator, Andre wasn't helping her as he forced her to have his ice cream; you can tell Marinette wasn't in the mood for one and gets all upset when it's suddenly not "magical" anymore like 😑😑😑. Then again, in Glaciator 2, he gets akumatize twice because one Ladybug is telling everyone in Paris how Chat Noir and her are not a couple, but people won't listen. Andre rants about how cute they are as a couple, not respecting what Ladybug is saying and how his ice cream is never wrong. Then, later in the episode, he gets akumatize again when he sees Marinette and Chat Noir hanging out and automatically assumes they're on a date and his ice cream "magic" is gone 😑😑😑. In Exaltation, Andre straight up tells Marinette and Chat Noir who they are supposed to love and who they love, which honestly doesn't surprise me because I have met people like that, and it does happen a lot in real life and not give them ice cream as "magic" ice cream is for couples only which is hypocritical. Then, when he gets akumatize, Andre targets Marinette, saying how it's her fault, like excuse me, and forces Chat Noir and Ladybug to be a couple by renouncing their miraculous. So Andre needs a reality check soon. Also, I'm surprised you haven't done a video on Damocles, as he sucks as a principal.

In the first episode I did like Andre because overall his character was more trying to help his customers be optimistic, even if his attempt to perk up Marinette did backfire. Then when talking to Adrien it ended on a positive note “you just gotta believe.” But in the following Glaciator episodes I find him immature and unlikable because it went from him having a cutesy ice cream gimmick to him becoming Andre the gatekeeper which is dumb. You can’t go around telling people who they should and shouldn’t be with. That’s not an ice cream man’s job that’s a matchmaker’s job (watch the show Indian Matchmaker explains it well). That’s false advertising.

He was fine in the furst episode but he's inconsistant in others...like he seemed fine making ice cream pairs for mari, adrien and kagami but when mari asked if she could get all three flavors he said threes a crowd...not reading the room that they wanted a friendship icecream which put mari to put pressure on which icecream she chose. His power of icecream inside makes no sense when he can't see mari and chat as a pair even though they are literally the SAME PEOPLE. He gave mari a self love ice-cream at a different time which showed he wasn't a dick. And yet despite learning his lesson about getting too into his ships after misreading mari and chat going to the movies he got judge again when they actually showed for a date...but what makes me absolutely livid is the guy made a point of not saying names.the ice-cream flavor is suppoused to represent hair of favorite colors, eye Color, lip color, personality ect. Where YOU the receiver of the ice-cream can read into it if you want to....yet all of a sudden he says point blank mari"s ice-cream represents adrien and chat noir's ice-cream represents ladybug to their faces and THAT is how adrien is suppoused to officially find out mari had. Crush on adrien? Not from his friends who see adrifnbstruggling with mari's mixed signals? Not from mari finally getting the courage to come clean on her own? Not from iver hearing her accidentally? It was fucking andre the ice-cream man pushing ships that he already had reason to think were dead in tge water and him out of character for himself being clear on who his ice-cream represents instead of lettingbthe customers mull it over themselves? My RAGE METER was broken. Not only did it erase there being consequences from mari not being honest with herself and take away the build up of adrien finding out mari likes himnonky once ste tells him herself...but it was out of character for andre who had already learned his lesson and was scolded about pushing his ships and was weird when he seemed fine giving options for ice-cream at other times...but he said their names which he had never done before...and how am I suppoused to take him seriously if ge can't see the marichat chemistry when they are the same exact people? My beef I have is the show acts like there isn't a chance for people to move on. Or re-fall in love with someone else. Theres multiple ways love works. Like first love, puppy love, love when it hurts, true love and more. Sure this go off the idea of true love or one love but everyone experiences love differently. Like if the story decided to adress all the possibilities of said love. Aundrey straight up ignores it because his ice cream is the only way to know who is supposed to be together. In my opinion, Chloé's father is still my number one most hated character in Miraculous. Especially in Season 4 and 5 where they tried to make him a "good person" toward Zoe and tried to make him a sympathetic character. Nah man his "redemption" arc was poorly executed and badly written. you made some interesting points, but I must say that I really do like Andre as a symbolic storytelling device. The idea that his ice-cream symbolically relates to different pairings I think is a really interesting thing that could be used for foreshadowing, or even as a subtle nod to the audience of what is going on inside character's hearts. I actually really liked that episode where Adrien, Kagami, and Marinette go to Andre, and Marinette lets the two of them have the ice-cream. I think that was the type of thing Andre is in the story for. If your issues with the character were addressed, maybe in some kind of re-make that seeks to fix all of the problems with the original, he could be a great element to the story. That said, I do hold that opinion about many things in the show. I am under the opinion that MLB is an outline for a great show. If they treated the show-as-is as a first draft and gave it a heavy editing pass or 2, it could really be one of the greats

I think it was buggachat on tumblr that made a post that made me remember that this character exists, but they said that he’s more like a priest who thought he was a god but eventually has to face that reality. Like he thinks he’s the one who picks the ice cream and therefore he’s the one in control, but when marinette and chat noir show up he’s thrown into a fit because he is confused why his powers aren’t working, when really they’re fine and its more the ice cream’s power than his. And I think that’s a really funny way of viewing it 😂

You also made a video about Lila in which you talked about why she sucks in an "I want her off my screen" kind of way, remember? Also, regarding the point about André shipping teens, I used to find it weird that you use that as a point against him when you have also hyped over ships between the teenage characters in this show. But in this video, you made a good point about how the difference is that André is shipping teens *who are real people from his point of view,* unlike you.

I thought it was adorable that he sees love auras but then he took it too far, these are teenagers and Ladybug has violently rejected Cat Noir for months and André Glossier expects him to not give up and not move on, the last one made me despise him he tried to kill Marinette and her family to keep her away from Cat Noir, he apologized but he laughed, he wasn't sorry and given a chance he will do it again because his ships are more important than their mental and emotional health The only thing good about his ships is Adrien found out Marinette was in love with him as Adrien and it gave him the nerve to pursue her to get her to fall in love with him again, (which never stopped)

Tbh, I understand why Andre ship Ladybug And Cat Noir. For example, in Jubilation, both if them reveal their deepest wish is for them to go far away and start a new life together. Theyre blinded by fake crushes ie. Adrien and Ladybug and its just LUST. They like them because ladybug is an icon and so is Adrien. Everyone loves them. But they never talk about Ladybug and Chat Noir. They do love eachother, their excuse is “they dont have a choice”. So they stay with the people they “like” and it feels as if something is missing: Their life isnt complete. They hide things from eachother. But as superheroes, they can be honest. Say what you want about Lila or Chloe, I at least respect them enough as mean girls but this Creep, Hell no. He's a character that I won't respect, will never respect and never like in any way. I've never liked his character he's always seemed weird to me like imagine he saw two co-workers together every day and he thought they should be in love not knowing that they're gay or bisexual or something or asexual or that they even have someone there already married to but because he thinks they should be together he would just lose it over the fact that they're not in love or something he doesn't even asked he just assumes people should be in love cuz that's what he wants is so weird And it's especially weird cuz he does it to two teenage kids who barely have the understanding of what love is to begin with like sure I could buy that Marinette and Adrien are in love because over the past year even though they don't know it because they live secret lives they have gotten a really know each other and both real life is Marinette and Adrien but also is ladybug and cat noir and once their identities are revealed to each other I think like we've seen in some of the other timelines I believe things will go well for them but Again Marinette and Adrien are teenagers and even if Marinette and Adrien stay together through high school and maybe even college we don't know what's going to happen with their future sure we can assume that they will be together because that is what this show is ultimately leading to but What about other couples who are young teenagers that he's doing this to most relationships from middle school or high school don't last after people and this man will be there hyping up their relationship like he's some online shipper and when they don't work out in the end when they get to adulthood he be the first one to comment on crying about how his ice cream didn't make everybody fall in love like a creep I really hope we don't see him again in the next few seasons like he just needs to open ice cream shop and they have delivery through drones and we don't have to see him😂
