Ghost Rider did indeed have his own figure line (with sadly no corresponding cartoon). It consisted of 11 of the 5” figures split over 2 waves, 3 of the “5 figures were also repainted & came with their bikes, and also 3 10” figures. Every figure in the line glowed in the dark or had an accessory that glowed. There was also a huge playset that was shown at Toyfair in ‘94 or ‘95, but sadly never released.

Also, Tony’s Ghost Rider figure has the harness of the Vengeance figure.

The 10-inch The Thing from the Fantastic Four could be used for felonious assault. That thing was a barely articulated brick of orange, rocky plastic. Freaking enormous.

I just barely remembered these existed. I collected a lot of the Toybiz comic figures, but didn't touch the electronic ones or the 10". I'm guessing I shared Ryan's feelings and would've said "I'd rather have two of the smaller ones."

Yeah, I had tons of the X-Men figures but didn't really get into the bigger Marvel Universe.

Ok so the reason human torch looks like that on his chest is because the smaller action figure had a feature where you pull a string on his back and those flames groves on his chest were clear and when you pulled the string you could see sparks inside his chest

I think the only Ones i bought were Fing Fang Foom and Galactus in the 90's, because those characters were supposed to be big!

They, that's where this line gets good. Using them as large characters with the standard figures.

I think you have an incomplete list of 10-inch Spider-Man figures. Because when I was a kid, I had a "Spider-Monster Spider-Man" (basically, a giant Spider-Man with a spider head and brown knuckles and big, bare, clawed feet and toes) and a 10-inch Carnage with a hand that was a big, nasty looking axe. Also, a Blade that was based on the Spider-Man cartoon appearance.

I also loved ghost rider as a kid for the same reason, I never read any of the comics, I just saw a skeleton guy with his head on fire and I bought the toys

I had a gambit and still have wolverine.. those things were like 30 bucks back then.. I remember my mom making a huge deal about it. Prolly $70 in today’s money..

Silver surfer is slow but it is really entertaining for being an intro into the MARVEL “cosmic”. Glad it got a shout out everyone always forgets it because it’s the shortest series compared to the others of the time must have gotten canceled practically before it debuted

Never been a fan of oversized figures. They were too cumbersome to play with and remind me too much of dolls. 7-inches is the max size I'll accept for an action figure. (Unless, of course, the character is supposed to be a giant.)

The one good thing I've found with the 10-12 inch figures is that since kids often like to smash toys together to simulate fighting, it keeps you from banging up your fingers. Even with the big figures, sometimes my stepbson would smash my knuckles while he makes Hulk attack the character I'm being.
