Who is your favorite Villain so far?

Alan has said that Black Hat is meant to be the personification of all evil, but it's true that the villains in the series (and even the heroes) are meant to be very morally grey

a few extra things might explain why this happens: -The Black hat organization offers their services to ANY villain regardless of their actions, bodycount or ambitions; that means people that get labelled as villains even thought hey are good at heart are still their customers just as well as the truely vile -Black hat himself is a retired supervillain, and leading the company is his retirement plan, earning money and/or souls in the process. In that regard he doesnt care about how evil or not his customers are, only that they sign contracts with him.

i think black hat is just the type of villian who takes more pleasure in breaking the minds and morals of people rather then just lavishing in destruction and torment

There's no way Black Hat is secretly good. He's definitely a very evil being that we know and love. Of course I think Villainous is a very cool show with the villains as main characters.😈

I'm suprised the instagrams for Penumbra and Miss Heed weren't mention because they have interesting bits of world building in them.

Yeah the thing about penumbra is that the company she worked for was controlled by black hat and they sabotaged her machine. Similar situations also happen with other villains on those websites. Black Hat is literally creating his own business.

I still like to think that Black Hat is a sort of 'evil one punch man' and that while there may be different wearers of the hats the underlying personality is this extremely old solid concentration of pure evil that ultimately wants one thing, a real challenge. Any apparent positive acts are linked to the overarching goal of bringing a hero powerful enough to serve as any actual opposition to Black Hat himself, a fundamentally selfish goal which Black Hat would happily sacrifice absolutely anything to achieve.

Really hope we get a season 2

I think Black hat don't really have a higher goal, he simply is doing all it because he want and can do so, and if any side overtake the other is bad for his business and personal amusement. He prefer the fight between "good" and "evil" continue because it is more entertaining. He like make people suffer and be miserable, but of they don't have hope and desires the suffering of most people became apathy.

I was rewatching OK KO a little while ago, even better with the rewatch, and noticed something in the special "Crossover Nexus". When KO, Raven, and Garnet reached the mall with all of the heroes that Strike got to, I saw Black Hat along side them.

With all the CN shows making cameos in this PPG, grim adventures, fosters, Evil Con Carne. Something I'd like to see is an interaction between Black Hat and Mandy.

In my opnion, the possobly plottwist in villanos, maybe is the fact that Black Hat make, not also make deals with villans, but also with people who want became heroes. Giving that a oportunity the game with Heroes and villans continue, so that Lord Black Hat make mour deal, and consume mour souls.

i believe Black Hat brings balance to the Villainous universe. i mean think about it, without evil then there would be no good. i think 505 is meant to be Black Hat's complete opposite, and possibly his top enemy in the future, either that or Goldheart is Black Hat's complete opposite

I don’t think Black Hat is in any way good, but I do think he’s working for the one true goal every villain strives for. I believe that he’s going to finally put an end to the “good guys always win” trope, I believe his goal to to finally even out the scales so that good doesn’t always win in the end. Also I don’t believe he’ll wipe out all good mainly because that would put him out of business.

I really hope this show becomes big. It has great voice acting, premise, animation, pacing, amazing villain, and very entertaining.

I have a pic from one of the shorts where Black Hat scares Dementia by turning into a monstrous version of 505. After she runs off terrified, during his transformation back into his villainous self, you can see a small glimpse of him as this disgusting flesh abomination. What’s interesting about this glimpse though is that it shows him with both what appears to be a normal man’s head who appears to be in an extreme amount of suffering, whilst there’s another more evil looking head that has multiple eyes and sharp teeth. What we can infer from this is that Black Hat may have been once a normal man, but due to a ritual like what you said in the video, he became a monstrous villain. It’s just food for thought though

From what I've seen, Black Hat definitely is an evil being; the sort of demonic entity that could very well rival the Devil himself. But his power seems to be his curse; with his abilities, he would have no trouble taking down heroes he encountered and dominating the world; the ultimate dream of almost every classic super villain everywhere. The problem for Black Hat is it would be too easy to do so. He's a showman who likes to flaunt his abilities only for moments that would entertain him, and instead prefers to watch his minions struggle to keep up with his demands. Another aspect of his sadistic personality that supports this is the fact he is a deal maker. There's more profit for him to be gained from people who come to him willingly; whether it's their souls that he bargains for, or their assistance in causing him entertainment at the expense of others torment. At the end of the day, Black Hat gets what he wants.

I can sort of see this: a world where the "heroes" are actually the villains screwing stuff up, and the "villains" are actually the heroes trying to make the planet a better place. (This is my opinion, btw.) I like this twist😊

*To be honest, I will be kinda meta and funny that the creator of Villianous made an episode about someone making a theory about Black Hat secretly being good and it cuts to someone/you being terrified at Black Hat as he speaks to both you and us/the camera that HE ISNT A GOOD GUY*

If there Whould be a Cartoon Network crossover series and black hat being the main antagonist I have an interesting idea how the story will go and what they Whould do to his character: Black hat probably gets tired that all the villains of the CN multiverse always fail to defeat the heroes so he decides to make his hands dirty and start an invasion on all universes. The heroes then team up and maybe one of them finds a new ability(possibly something related to universes) and this ability manages to let black hat actually feel pain. No true defeat yet, but still in pain. This Whould led to black hat developing some sort of fear against this new power, as he always was known as The invincible And immortal black hat so for him to actually experience pain is something new to him as it means he no longer is immortal. I think that afterwards black hat Slowly loses all sanity and becomes so self destructive in his final fight because of this constant fear, that the heroes managed to actually defeat him, Destroy All his delusion of Being Invincible and erase him from both existence and even out of the memories of all the villains who worked for him. I think that death Whould then be fitting for black hat as he always saw himself as above everyone, so for him to finally lose and shatter everything he worked for, Whould make an interesting breakdown and satisfying ending to this character.

for the "Black Hat is supposed to be the personification of all evil!" argument: A thing to keep in mind is that Evil dose not necessarily mean "bad". Good and evil are very subjective in many cases. A good example of this would be Pnumbra and Sunblast. on the surface from a "normal citizen's" point of view Sunblast is the hero beating down the evil Pnumbra who keeps blocking out the sun. From Pnumbra's point of view, she is just trying to make the world a better place while possibly curing hers and several other people's illness (even if it was her fault, as accidental as it was) in the process. Only to be beaten down by the supposed "hero" who wont even try to hear her out, all to make himself look better in the eyes of the public. A "hero" is not necessarily a hero, just like a "villain" is not necessarily a villain. The show seems to touch on this... a lot.
