Bo Nix has been making pre-snap adjustments frequently for the last two seasons, usually to great success. His ability to read a defense, communicate with his center, and modify or completely change a play call as needed without any input from his coaches is one of his greatest strengths and I firmly believe that the Ducks' coaching staff's willingness to give him that freedom of agency has been one of the biggest and most overlooked factors in his turnaround. He'll not only handle pre-snap adjustments at the next level, he'll excel at them. A perfect tandem of natural talent and refined game manager.

When the coaches ask "What'd he just check? Oh, good call!", several times, tells me he has a coaches mentality and described an individual who is calm under pressure. Greatest QB I've ever seen at Oregon and that goes back to the Dan Fouts days of the early 70s.

Nix had another monster game vs cal. 386 4 tds 1 int. Really showing his arm talent in this one. Changing angles of his throws and with such great touch. Another int but that was all the wide receiver. Literally handed the defender the ball 🤦‍♂️

as a ducks and seahawks fan it pains me to say but he would be a great fit as a ram. stafford is old and arm is getting weaker. theyre trying to get younger and it wouldnt surprise me if they draft nix to develop a year behind stafford before he retires. like you said, quick offenses that get guys open and QBs find their receivers while making good decisions at the line. exactly what a mcvay offense does, bo to kupp and puka would be fun to watch for years to come (hurts as a seahawks fan to say again). i think he could also be a great fit in detroit as well depending on how much they like goff for the future or if they want to go younger, get some $$$ off the books and sign some guys on defense instead.

I'm wondering how you assess him as being iffy on intermediate passes when he has only thrown 1 pick through 8 games and is on track to break the NCAA record for completion % for a season at over 78%? And you find fault there?🤔 Also the only time he doesn't slide after a run gain is breaking the plain for a TD. I have heard that he will slide no further than Bill Bellichek's 1st rd pick. If he's still on the board. The Pat's are an intelligent franchise and licking their chops.

@@TheMockDraftGuy I think bo is taking this personally as the now front runner for the Heisman, hes short to intermediate routes are actually his best throws especially his 10-15 yard out routes. His deep routes are where some of his problems come because he overthrows receivers at time.

He could drop in the draft after coaches see him in person. Might be a steal in the late first if he does. Seems like a much better version of Mac Jones or at best a Derek Carr. Most of his big stats happen with wide-open receivers.

‘Nix’s tendency to force plays or make impulsive throws increases the chance for turnovers’. What Bo Nix are you watching? He’s turned the ball over twice this year; once the ball hit his receiver in the hands and popped right to the defender, the other was a great play by a Colorado db, that if it isn’t made is Franklin walking into the end zone. I’ve watched every Oregon game this year…I think I could count the number of forced plays/impulsive throws on one hand. Watch the Oregon State game; his dissection of the Beavs D was surgical. He was unflusterable.

What I like about him the most is he doesn’t take that many sacks. It’s not like Oregon’s O Line is the best. Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels on the other hand take too many sacks. Obviously that creates injury concerns and more negative plays. He would be a great pick for the Vikings. O’Connell will be able to develop him much better than most of the other HC

As a broncos fan, I would really not mind drafting Nix. I think his playing style would work well with Sean Payton (and of course the obvious Drew Brees comparisons). Even if Russell Wilson stays for another year or two, Nix would be a good prospect to have waiting. I feel like he could start for the Broncos day 1, though.

IMO the Broncos will be picking inside the top 5-8. That’s a QB range for Penix, McCarthy, possibly even Maye still. I see Bo as more of a back end of the 1st type of guy as of right now.

I gotta jump in and say that he gets fed no information on presnap. Every adjustment that comes at the line of scrimmage is him recognizing the coverage and getting his guys into an alternate play. This has been said countless times by Dan Lanning, Kenny Dillingham, and Will Stein. Right now, Bo is playing at an NFL level and making adjustments and checking into plays on his own and diagnosing defenses faster than anyone in the country. This is the same trajectory that Joe Burrow had. The only difference between the two is that Joe Burrow was praised because he played in the SEC with a once in a lifetime offense. Bo Nix is the most impressive prospect in this draft class and it shouldn't even really be close. He operates this offense so efficiently it's a little maddening. His biggest weakness is his arm strength. While he can throw the deep balls, sometimes he seems to have a little trouble determining the velocity needed to get it where it needs to go, so you do see him under and overthrow receivers which could lead to turnovers in the NFL. I think there will be two great Ducks QBs in the league for the next 15 years and I'm really excited about that.

The Correct Offense he’ll be a dog. If not RD1 I can see him gone RD2 I think Detriot would be perfect for him. Young Talented offense and he can learn behind Goff or LA and learn from Stafford. I think he’s more of a Stafford guy type of Quarterback. Tought, Talented, Great Arm But sometimes Bo does throw it a little too hard as if he’s rushing a pass. Sometimes he may throw it behind his receiver a bit. But, with the right coaching, he can thrive

LSU produced Joe Burrow, But also Jamarcus Russell. Auburn Produced Cam Newton, but also produced Jarrett Stidham. Alabama produced Hurts(technically) and Tua, but produced Aj McCarron and Brodie Croyle. Oklahoma produced Kyler Murray and Jalen Hurts(technically), but also produced Baker mayfield and Landry Jones. Oregon: Justin Herbert and Dan Fouts but Akili Smith Joey Harrington Marcus Mariota. Ohio State:Justin Fields(hopefully starts becoming consistent and flourishes) and CJ Stroud, but has Troy Smith, JT Barrett, Terrelle Pryor (kind of, had that one year as a receiver). Yall gotta stop Judging by schools, maybe unless its like FIU or Ball State type
