Mine is: 9. *Trucks* - Wasn’t really my jam, unfortunately making the episode pointless for me, tho I like the idea that there is this pride amongst trucks 8. *Dino Park* - Like the designs, but to be honest, not the best first impression for the mini series. Ruins the theory that humans came before cars and story wise it belongs on Disney Jr 7. *Lights Out* - Didn’t give me more hope after the first episode, since it was another dream(?) episode, at least it had the same style as the first episode. But since I love horror, that’s a plus, and that hallway chase was sick 6. *Show Time* - Funny how Lightning has coulrophobia but I like how they kept it subtle, many shows make phobias over the top and annoying. Also like the atmosphere. Good episode that adds to the world building 5. *B-Movie* - I have a mild interest in movie production, so I might have a bias, but it’s also think this episode tackled some themes. Lightning, the one who can do it all, being jealous of his hillbilly friend being better for once. Cheesy, yes, but that’s enough for a five to ten minute episode 4. *Road Rumblers* - This one had some really nice subtle world building. Sure, two clans fighting in an apocalyptic landscape, not super original, but the clans believing the rest of the world is a wasteland? The other clan being solar powered? Some bigger story is hidden behind what we were shown, and I’m curious. 3. *The Legend* - Ivy was an awesome character, really like the mossy look and I do love folklore. The staged alien abduction looked sick as well, and Mater joining cryptid hunters and Lighting rolling his eyes after being pulled in is classic Lighting and Mater. Overall, a fun episode 2. *Getting Hitched* - A satisfying conclusion. Mato is a fun character, her name made me laugh more than I should have and I’m glad to see Cruiz again, I did really like her in Cars 3, which is underrated, although her being good at everything kinda came out of nowhere 1. *Salt Fever* - I don’t know what it is with this episode, it was kinda surreal, as if it was a Twilight Zone episode, and I love it. It starts of with them getting lost in a white desert, creepy enough. Then there are the experiments/competitions, warnings about the speed demon and finally, Mater actually dying and learning his lesson while confronted by essentially the grim reaper or an angel. I did not expect this sort of story from a Cars mini series

Personally after a few years without any Cars content this is a really welcomed show. Honestly I'd like to see other forms of motorsports besides the Piston Cup

Agreed, I would've liked it if future cars content focuses on endurance racing, F1, rallying or GT racing, it would also be cool to see a car version of Ayrton Senna or Colin McRae

4:34 you see, only Mater can see his door open while McQueen doesn’t, because that’s in maters head, so I’m guessing he’s trying to get back into his brain so he can have his mind back, its kinda a “what ghost see’s and what people see” situation, so yeah these cars can’t LITERALLY open their doors cuz that was in maters imagination

I am honest: this was the most enjoyable review to be out there: you constantly grabbed my attention and did a great job, just wanted to mention that first👍👍👍 I mostly agree with your points. Some episodes failed to work with the short length, others succeeded though. The McQueen-Mater chemistry was thrilling awesome and I have similar favs to you (lights out, b-movie and the finale). One of your points was the most important in my opinion: you can't stop watching actually😆 I really hope for a second season that also takes into account our comolaints while I am totally satisfied how well it turned out to be.

I wish they were longer, and I don't know what Disney's obsession is with the Haunted Mansion ride all of a sudden because they're making a movie of it with Jamie Lee Curtis as lead who starred in the 1979 film Halloween. And I know pics are said no more sequels but they basically just confirmed inside out too since that's a film they haven't touched really much with merchandise or shorts, so I definitely think there will be a Cars 4

I want to see some scenes in cars on the road season 2 like some planes like dusty and mcqueen and mater stuck in a tornado in a storm on the way back home and mcqueen and mater stop to get some gas and getting lost trying to find which way back to radiator springs and some halloween scenes too and mcqueen going super fast booster jet and home at radiator springs

Excellent objective review on the series dude! I enjoyed it a lot and it brought back a bunch of old memories. Definitely was worth the wait for news Cars-related content after so long. 💯🔥👍 At 13:10 to 13:39, McQueen did say he was going to keep racing at the end of Cars 3, but before that he wanted to coach Cruz. I think this road trip could fit between 1 to 5 years after Cars 3, as McQueen would have to take at least 1 racing season off to be Cruz's crew chief. I guess since Tex owns Rusteze and Dinoco, both brands can be considered separate racing teams? I think you are right on your idea for the Fabulous McQueen paint job. It may be something he reverts back to when/if he becomes Cruz's full-time crew chief post racing career. However, their conversation does spark the question in terms of how well McQueen competes against Cruz, Jackson Storm, and the other next-gens? Plus I'm sure new rookies have continued to pop up. From a story perspective since he still races, he should be considered one of the top racers on the track. In the season he crashed, it was his worst season on record. If that trend continued for him it wouldn't make sense for him to continue racing. Like you said, It will be interesting if Disney and Pixar ever make another season revolving around the Piston Cup to answer our questions.

Honestly this is giving me those Disney shorts vibes because the episodes are like 7 minutes long and the credits literally being 3 for a run time of 10 minutes of each episode but then again it’s probably because they just want to gear this towards kids more but that begs the question of why the second episode is a spoof of the shining an R rated movie, kids today for the most part probably wouldn’t understand the references

So far I'm only on episode 4 because I really want to savor these episodes since it's only one season and it'll get me off my Cars craze for a little while. The first episode felt a little childish even though I still enjoyed it, but after it's other episodes which I have seen so far I like more. It is sad to hear some of the actors age but it happens to the best of us and at first I thought it was the whole completely different recast other than Lightning and Mater. I don't care for the recycling models but they did that in Cars 2 and overall the show is better than I expected, it's better than Mater's Tall Tales, it's fun to watch these two share of brain cell and I like how they left Mater feeling somewhat more intelligent and Lightning a little bit more blunt because I feel like that is what the elements of the show needed and it was delivered perfectly. I'm glad that some of the main characters such as Ivy were not annoying and actually very fun and engaging to watch. I like how we went back to the Trope of hanging Lightning from the ceiling whether it be wires or ropes... so far it answers all my Cars Universe questions and also how did Ivy tie them up? Also you would think in the Legend episode that McQueen would be more careful after his experience with his own crash and his training with Smokey but hey, that's what the episode needed then okay.

WARNING SPOILERS IN MY COMMENT: I loved every episode because it was the perfect mix of childish fun and presenting serious topics in a safe and non-assuming way for little kids. Not every episode was hard hitting as an adult viewer, but I can assume it was definitely engaging to the kid demographic, like how Cars 2 appealed to little kids. But pretentiousness aside, the scene that actually shocked me were Mater’s encounter with Speed Demon, when flying Mater realised he didn’t see how worried Lightning was, and then Mater realises how recklessly he was acting when he had nothing to prove to anyone. I appreciate how lovingly that episode teaches audiences to have perspective on what matters in life. Also, I liked that Lightning had phobias of things that are common to lots of little kids; it’s pretty affirming to see a cool character have relatable fears which might help kids get over it. I liked how much he knew about dinosaurs because that’s such a little kid fixation; imagine seeing your fave character also get excited about dinos!! Also, the Trucks song was psychedelic and hilarious and catchy. I can’t believe I enjoyed a mid-season musical episode that much LOL.

In the episode of trucks they show a school bus when they say yellow but a bus does not count as a truck everybody should know that if they're really into vehicles and no what a real truck is and I noticed they didn't show a single SUV in this episode because usually people will SUVs biggest SUVs trucks when they're not so I'm glad they didn't put SUV vehicles in this it gets annoying hearing people call SUVs trucks and they did add the Pizza Planet truck in this episode too which is obviously when it make this episode even better and I cannot get this catchy music on my head at all

In my opinion, i didn’t like the second episode. I hated the fact that those twin cars could’ve been mia and tia. it was the perfect time for pixar to bring them back. and the animation in particular wasn’t as good as the rest. I dont know the animation wasnt good and I didnt’t like half of the characters in the 2nd one. well, final score is a 4/10

And many years ago behind the scenes of cars the first movie didn't they say we would never see the car's doors open here we are many years later and we see a door open and Trunks of cars open Emma Queen almost barfin days when a trunk opens up with clowns cars coming out hahaha I really hope there's more seasons and episodes to cars on the road like another Nine episodes on of their trip back and then maybe another trip to somewhere else

Tbh they've shamelessly reused Cars 2 models and they are gonna have licensing troubles as if they haven't already dealt with before. Idk if they ever decide to release diecasts out of these characters, especially when it comes to the Vauxhall/Opel Corsa clown from Episode 5 since it might potentially happen

That’s so true. I did wonder that myself during the show. Land Rover, Jeep, Porsche, Corvette, and a few more appear. Maybe they were credited in the credits? If not, yeah that’s a big lawsuit waiting to happen. (Unless Disney and Pixar have some sort of contract with these car companies that allow them to use their vehicles for a certain amount of years until the contract expires/ they have to renew it for Cars content like toys, books, videos, movies, shorts, and more).

@@PistonCupProductions They might have done that to the Radiator Springs characters since they still do it when it comes to them. In fact (a little unrelated and off topic but) Porsche did a Sally Special Edition of the 911 recently, i'm not too sure if was to promote the series though. Now as for the background characters some of them they don't really have to since they've already done it because of the Radiator Spings characters, but some of them (like the Mini Cooper and the Land Rover for example) they gonna have to do it or else Disney and Pixar's gonna be some serious trouble (even if they Uno Reverse it all somehow).

I think the way the cars move around looks okay in the cars world but for Thomas all engines go wherever you want to call it looks bad because of the wheels look like arms but at least in the Cars movies and series they don't stick their tires out like arms because the only thing in the car is world that would count as arms as the forklifts because they can move their Forks up now and all that

Ehh the show is OK. The episodes are very short unfortunately, if we had more time in each episode we could flesh out the rest stops more. If that’s the case I think the show would be much better. Overall I had fun watching the show. I like the Mc Queen and Mather relationship. 6.5/10

This series was good , but that's it just good not amazing good , just good nothing else , the series felt rushed especially the first episode , why did have enough they were too short , the greatest and only best this were McQueen and Mater's interactions , the stories were ok not great tho again too short
