Is Crit Kuki a real thing now?

I was reminded that quickbloom Kuki is much more of a thing now that Furina exists, and I happened to already have her talents leveled from doing aggravate Kuki in the past, so how could I not test it out?

Yeah Im dumb, shouldve called it crit kuki in the video, not DPS Kuki, as "crit" is more specific to what I was trying to do. Generally speaking I don't think many players use "DPS" in Genshin to refer to things like hyperbloom builds, though, so personally I dont consider this to be that incorrect of a description for it. You knew that I was ultimately just trying to have fun with a silly crit dps build on Kuki, so it is what it is. I will try to use more specific terminology in the future. (Edited for formatting)

I mean thats basically what these videos are. Trying to DPS or otherwise utilize units in unconventional ways in the game. Unless you wanted a series that is an entire account based around the idea, which could be interesting, but making and playing multiple Genshin accounts makes the grinding aspect of Genshin so much worse

I love that for kuki to finally become a dps, we needed an entire new element and a buffer so insanely good that team comps that were previously entirely unviable became completely plausible.

Honestly, I think Yelan could work in place of Furina here, as Kuki has her own self drain/gain to potentially enabling 4 piece MH. Which is to say I think the new artifacts are the bigger difference maker in this case, but this is exactly the kind of thing I enjoy the most about Furina, personally. I wouldn't really count her as insanely good, though, as at C0 she requires pretty specific utilization of healers to get the most from her buff, and using some healers over other supportive options in a team is a downside of its own that balances Furina quite well. In this videos case we simply took advantage of the fact that Kukis additional healing helps a lot to justify not running another healer. If Kuki did not have healing we would have needed to swap Fischl for a healer, for example, which would likely be a substantial team DPS downgrade.

@@Solunerra ah, but she is. she is the best buffer in the game even at c0, and also the best turret in the game, in the same character, even if she does require a dedicated healer that would otherwise not be there, it's okay because she is worth two characters to begin with. i consider her the first instance of REAL powercreep in the game. there are two types of accounts now, ones with furina, and ones without. what @frgal1336 said is true: meme teams are now completely viable with furina. my yanfei went from "ah, she kinda works of the other team carries" to "oh my god why do we even need 5 star dpses?"

I run a slight variation of this with Yaoyao instead of Fischl for the max stacks it's quite interesting

It is very purposefully a weirdly sexual moan for no reason, imo. Is it really all that annoying? Not necessarily, but some aspect of a character making moaning adjacent sounds behind the mask of something else is weirdly common in idle animations. Ultimately I react to stuff like that in videos because I think its funny to be slightly annoyed at character idles sometimes by reacting to things happening in game rather than just rambling forever

if you can sort out a build for furina with an ER sands you’d be better off putting your key of kahj nisut on her instead of fav. it’s my preferred setup for support furina in teams where your team wants EM, especially vape and dendro teams. her personal damage in double pyro teams with key is quite nice too. She gets so much damage bonus that key is probably better than her signature too since you probably can’t fit much EM into her artifacts otherwise when she needs so many other stats.

Yeah, key is really good on Furina. I have found that I heavily prefer Fav generally though.

This is so weird. I literally had a dream last night about Kuki getting a dendro infusion on her NA with a secret C5 that you could unlock instantly after getting her C1 which caused her to be an amazing Aggravate/Spread crit DPS with this exact team. That is so creepy that I'm getting this recommended to me now

It'll probably take a year or more for anyone not farming Navia artifacts, but I'd like to see an extremely cursed Pneuma Furina with Song of Days Past build someday. Perfect SoDP uptime is totally worth zero particle generation and no Crabaletta, right?

not that it’s at all relevant anymore, but personally i still remember feeling like she was pretty decent upon release. obviously didn’t have the role consolidation she does now, but she did her job as a healer

It is a bit tricky to use burst DPS Kuki since it does so much more damage if you're below half health on cast, but the on field time absorbing her own healing makes it hard for her to cast her burst below half HP.

Blackcliff sword could be ok as a crit stat stick with 4 piece MH, but I think Iron Sting may be the best choice, as you do get value from the passive. Id probably use the umbrella over Iron Sting if you have it though (event weapon from last year)

This made me wonder, ever since kuki came out and I heard her multipliers/DMG are better than keqing physical. So you could easily run ATK% sands on your kuki thanks to fruina DMG% bounce and then would Rosaria for the C6 Res shred and superconduct + her DMG and frezz survivability and comfort be better or worth losing the electro resonance, energy and Fischle A4 DMG ? This is mainly because I am trying to cope as I really love her aesthetics and NA chains. And I am still slaty that both shinobu/ninja characters in this game are not assassins or even DMG dealers but rather healers Very tiny side note: you could've used Furina normal attacks to lower the final boss of abyss resistance and stop their dance. A lot of people forgot it but I have watched too many of your polarm only (so I hold your game knowledge and gameplay skills in very high regards) to not ask if it was intended or you just forgot/was too focused on the fight

Nah I always forget fontaine enemies have the ousia/pneuma mechanic lol. I have disagreed with one regions characters having a mechanic to deal with specific enemies in the first place, so I actively chose to ignore it as a thing and now just kinda forget about it outside of OW lol And yeah, physical Kuki is decent, but fundamentally has many of the issues most physical teams have. If you want to really take advantage of Kukis NAs Id actually suggest the C6 Bennett infusion variation I showed, as making her do pyro NAs is far more useful than physical (and you can change the team around a bit to do something like vape her NAs too)

Sadly though I am ashamed to admit that I didn't C6 my Bennett and honestly with GaMing coming up I am even more tempted to C6 him now, I'll see if I like him enough to stop coping that one day varka is going to be physical and his BiS is Bennet without C6

Yes hyperbloom kuki is the obvious better way to use her, but I like trying to use units in unconventional ways to show how genshin is a game where you can do things like this

You could also put Prototype Amber on Nahida. That way you don't have to add Bennett in there and it'll prevent the team to be that squishy (it also helps that she gets her burst really easily)

Hyperbloom Kuki doesnt normally build crit on 4pc MH… what are you on about that the term DPS cant be used in different ways lol? Its a fairly neutral term most players consider to be related to units that do talent based dmg (with crit builds)

You don't even have it, you clearly have no clue of its passive XD LMAO, LoFI is bis of every skill DPS, it literally increases DMG of skill based on owner's EM XD Which is what Shinobu scales with XDD Fyi, to disappoint you, Mist and Key can't be even proc by Shinobu, meanwhile Key gives huge amount of HP, no crit to help DPS, both are useless. Please, kid, first google things before saying anything, 'cause you just embarrassed yourself and it's pathetic. Not to mention to use Light, Mist or the rest of mentioned above, first you gotta have them, lmao, no clue why you even mentioned them xDD

Yeah, I didnt mean to imply Foliar was the best or anything, simply that it was decent in this case because a bunch of cdmg when trying to abuse 4pc MH is pretty good lol. And Mistsplitter I dont have so I didnt mention it. I never did any calcs to compare Key vs Foliar for team dmg or anything, but Key is probably better, and potentially incentives an HP timepiece build.

Lol, fwiw physical teams are kinda always the same thing. Not that it cant be fun or anything, but its hard for it to be as successful. And there are better ways to utilize Kukis NAs with infusions than doing physical

@@ladygrey7707 a dps is a dps, even if they're NOT the "main" dps like childe in international, sure xiangling is doing more damage, but childe is still a dps in this team and contributing a non negligible amount of damage and hyperbloom generally will be doing the most damage in the team assuming not very high investment for the other characters, so yeah kuki IS a dps

I may change the title around or something, as I dont disagree, damage comes from many sources, so even if you dont build any crit a unit still is a DPS if they contribute meaningful dmg based on what they trigger. But I think most Genshin players tend to consider a unit a “DPS” when you build crit on them in the traditional sense. This Kuki build is also a quickbloom build though, which is a hybrid approach between talent (crit based) dmg and transformative reaction dmg, so DPS was kinda the better term in this case

No I dont. You might prefer them, but I very very rarely feel I need shielding personally. It can be nice for incidental interruption resistance, such as with DPS Kirara where its a nice upside to using her like I did, but I dont generally make teams around any desire for shielding

Yep, it’s kinda the state electro is in right now though, or any competent team. The best teams are able to contribute dmg from a diversity of sources. Kuki is ultimately just a fun enabler to maximize the use of the other units

C6 Bennett instead of Fischl enables not insignificant damage for Kuki's NAs and gives reason to use them for pyro application for other reactions!

Nahida is on Pamber, and it’s overall fine imo. You dont need to get max dmg bonus consistently if the team can still clear content. There is of course room to play around with the team configuration, but I wouldn’t recommend going full Pamber impact lol.
