Port Macquarie, the town where cafes have no Wi-Fi and they close at 2pm and might reopen at 5pm, mediocre bars and restaurants that charge over the top prices, no nightclubs, great beaches but shark infested waters sadly. Rent is expensive. You’ll need a vehicle if you want to get about. Coastal walks are great, if you’re able to dare into the surf you won’t be disappointed.

No question, PMQ won’t be for everyone. If you’re after a thriving night life, go to the Gold Coast. If you’re after somewhere quieter, with less stress than the major cities, and CSU has the right academic options for you, it might work. Everyone’s different.
