We tried dairy goats - they produce twins - we kept all of the offspring and all of the goats no matter how old. I called it "dairy with dignity." but, needless to say, it is not cost effective - we are more of an animal sanctuary than a dairy. So we stopped. The goats graze areas of our farm land that are fallow.
