Agreed with Darren's statement at the end. There's a reason why "Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry is always listed and included in the top 10 of the greatest pop songs ever made, and it is highly acclaimed by music critics and labeled it as this perfectly structured pop song, with the lyrics, the vocal delivery and runs, and the overall feeling/vibe of the song. It's a well-deserved #1 on the Hot 100! On the other hand, Darren's cover is the best cover ever made for Teenage Dream. None came close and can compare.

There are so many songs IMO that Glee did better than the original. River Deep, Mountain High, Do You Wanna Touch, Listen, Maybe This Time, If I Die Young, Here's To Us. I could go on lol Darren's voice is fabulous. Everything the Warblers did was amazing.

Darren's version was great, it was like a warm hug. But the original was one of the best pop songs by a mega-pop superstar which was a massive hit. I can't shake Katy Perry's amazing vocal tone and the energy and nostalgia she brings to the song...and quite frankly, Darren was singing the same melodies. So yes, the original was better. But i love the Glee version anyways.

The accoustic version of the song is 100% BETTER than katy Perrys version BUT in terms of the season 2 version I think their equally great in their own rights so overall season 2 version = the original Season 4 version > the original
