Devlin now one of the OGs of Grime. Super talented and famous for his incredible flows and cadences. He brought something fresh when he first hit the UK grime scene and made an impact as a young kid coming up. He has a few fire in the booths, SBTV and a daily duppy 👍🏼 He is close with Ghetts who you know already

Shoutout to whoever put you on to this , great track that you probably wouldn't get to otherwise. Devlin is a legend and one of few people Ghetts respects to spit back to back with him.He is one of few people to get a wheelup in fire in the booth and once spit so hard on one of those fire in the booths that Charlie sloth retired a beat for him.

I remember when this track first came out. I was in a really bad place at the time. I listened to this song on repeat for hours, crying all the time. I felt hopeless and this track just reminded me that there’s no help for people who really need it.

He did blow to that standard of that time, its just the uk scene wasn't developed as it is today. He was all over the charts at one point with songs like runaway and London city both him and wretch were killing it that era even mainstream, wretch's don't go still stands to this day as a banger. Imagine them both fresh on the scene now where things are currently at would be a takeover. He reminds me a lot of skinnyman, if u guys haven't checked him out you NEED to, skinny man - day to day basis or council estate of mind

All of his songs are bangers but check out his Fire in the booth, and his early days F64s, he even did an acoustic freestyle rap with Ed Sheeran which was fire… as much as I love Akala, wretch, lowkey and mic righteous, Devlin has to be considered one of the goats, the kid was fucking different…

Dope reaction as usual guys. This is a tune about the struggles in the UK without reppin sets or postcodes, it's about general problems that sadly the majority of us face in the UK face on a day to day basis. Devlin comes from the Borough of Barking and Dagenham, same borough as Potter Payper although they grew up in different neighbourhoods, Devlin from Dagenham and Potter from Barking. Culturally they feel kind of seperate from the rest of London, especially Dagenham, which is right on the edge of the city before you get out into the countryside and a different county. This area feels forgotten from the rest of London and is often where the poorest people that have been push out from other areas of London due to gentrification end up, but the govt wont do much to help the area and rents are starting to go up there as well, still feels like a forgotten part of the city when I visit and go back. This is the side of London the tourist brochure dont show you, all that wealth is definately not distributed equally in London.

England finest I've seen this video roughly 50 times , every time i cant help but tear up at the end scenes in it , so real yet so sad. unfortunately one of my friends when i was 17 was in the same situation and ended the same way as the homeless person in the vid. peace and love to anyone in these situations regardless of what got em there 🕊🕊 hell , dev has a million tunes id love for you to see but his fitb are probs one to check out first :D some classic grime beats in his number 2 , grime legend.

It beggars belief that artists like Devlin have never got the recognition they deserve He is one of our national treasures as so many others have said. I asked u to react to this a while ago but no reply but glad u guys did this video as Devlin who u pronounced wrong has always been my favourite English rapper , most his songs are fast and serious . Apart from a funny one I love called DEVLIN , BITCHES check it out mate its hilarious! Yes in England we have a strong class system, upper class, middle class and working class at least 90 percent of English rappers are working class the fans too but most our films especially Hollywood ones show all English people are either middle class, upper class or royal , so uk grime gives us working class a voice and love the fact we sing in our own accents not a fake American one like phil Collins, Jagger , ozzy Osbourne and so on 🇬🇧🇺🇸
