You can’t just do one app. Sometimes you sign on and 8 other drives are in the same parking lot as you. It goes in cycles. People get pissed due to low pay, quit, surge goes up, people make bank, draws in new drivers and so on.

rideshare doesn't pay anything anymore. I have multiplied the miles of trips x .67 which is deduction this year and usually is more in deduction than what the ride pays. it's ridiculous.

Lyft and Uber are both horrible. There may be a good week here and there but not without bonuses streaks and promotions which are really non existing. Those days are over this is not 2014. It’s 2024 and rideshare are rip offs.

He had to have made between $40,000-$60,000. I would assume closer to $60,000 since he is a veteran driver. Uber and Lyft can almost single-handedly stimulate major cities economies by increasing the percentage split for drivers and reducing the fare for passengers.

Been doing Lyft and Uber for 6 years just got my CDL license yesterday now I’m focusing on getting into a government job my buddy is helping me get into and gonna get guaranteed 38$ a hour with full benefits starting. at home comfy every night after driving and gonna do lyft every now and then or maybe never who knows but this is a dead end situation eventually. Got a Lyft the other day guy had 21k rides under his belt he said he was pulling 108k a year but driving 7 days a week 12 hours a day

i recently started a month ago. This is not a full time gig for me. I know its not what it use to be a few years ago, so i dont expect making much money from it, just trying2 to use my full time job check less as possible for gas and food. I dont do airport trips and i also thought about what i'd have to deal with when doing concerts or sporting events. I watched a few podcasts and videos about this job for tips about how to do things before i started.

I dont do rideshare, i started doing food delivery on a scooter here in NY. To me, rideshare drivers should be making a lot more money per ride than they do now. It used to be ride share drivers made 80% & uber/lyft took 20% but now that is reversed which is crazy. Rideshare drivers are really getting screwed. They pay for their own gas, car maintenance & take all the risk with drunk & crazy passengers, but Uber/Lyft take 80% of the fare now. Crazy. Food delivery may pay less per order on avg than a rideshare ride…but in the right market & with the right vehicle, you can make just as much or more per hr doing food delivery. Food delivery orders are usually a lot less miles than an avg rodeshare drive, so you can bang out more deliveries per hr thus making more per hr. Scooters get 100mpg and are easier to park so faster to get in & out of restaurants vs a car. Less $ to maintain a scooter. Less insurance costs. You dont have to deal with customers etc. i think there are pros & cons to both rideshare & food delivery. So many variables tho. Depends on the person & the market.
