Another $4000 week for me 4 in a row I don’t waste my energy on negative stuff. I just go out here and make money. I don’t sit here and post and cry about what Uber and Lyft is not doing for me I just get money….put in 15,16, n 17 hours a day do what you Gotta do to provide for your family and an invest what you get not cry like crybabies…

So Ive used this a few times and the difference is pretty big vs hourly even when they say you will make more money dont believe it unless you have a bonus already or some kind of quest going on that makes sense. Example my average standard rates I accept are 30$ or higher and can usually find those rides without priority mode. Turn on priority and it pulls further rides and reduces how much money im making to 20-23$. Not worth it during regular hours that are normally busy anyways just shuffle between Uber and Lyft.

i recently started a month ago. This is not a full time gig for me. I know its not what it use to be a few years ago, so i dont expect making much money from it, just trying2 to use my full time job check less as possible for gas and food. I dont do airport trips and i also thought about what i'd have to deal with when doing concerts or sporting events. I watched a few podcasts and videos about this job for tips about how to do things before i started.

rideshare doesn't pay anything anymore. I have multiplied the miles of trips x .67 which is deduction this year and usually is more in deduction than what the ride pays. it's ridiculous.

Buy used lucid, get +400 miles range and charge at home fitted with solar panel and inverter so your Kw come down dramatically, then an electric car start to look good. Tesla is a big risk regarding quality and maintenance. Today, the best bet is a prius but unfortunately uber send the prius down to uberx and we lost comfort and electric. Bottom line, drive for uber or lyft is a waste of money and destroy your car behind resale value.

Also no one ever factors in wait time while charging. If you waiting 1 hour to super charge twice a day and you average 25 a hour driving thats a L.

Camry Hybrid is the best car for rideshare period. I average 50 miles per gallon and had 220k miles on the battery before it was totaled. Also the hybrid doesnt have a alternator or starter. Oil changes every 10k and some regenerate braking so the pads lasted longer.

I don't agree with an app making 47,000 off of driver in 1 year still pretty expensive app to use

I would only take cash for tips but never for rideshare because of many reasons besides insurance. Its for safety on both riders and drivers. we live in a mad world and we do not know who we are riding with.

Great points made. Also if you're with a credit union sometimes they can get you considerably lower insurance rates as well. I did compare rates once my renewal was due this year and found out I am saving almost $50/mo by currently going through my credit union. Thanks again for the valuable info.

I've only rented car through Lyft Express for 1 week so far, and the pay sucks. You have to drive at least 10 to 12 hours a day to make any real money. They are robbing the drivers. I might only try it for another week or 2.

lyft and uber still pay less....DoorDash is even worse. none of this extra money makes up for the wear and tear on your car......or maybe it does and then you make just as much as a "real job". if you saved 6,000 over 5 years that = 30,000 so just enough for a new car when the other one is maxed out. so you make exactly the same as that other job. they prob put 30 miles on their car a day and it could last 3 times longer. in addition at that "real job" they get the benefits of group health insurance and other insurances and group advantages...so at the end of the day Lyft and Uber still pay much much less....we didn't even get into accidents and speeding tickets yet...
