In possession England were pretty decent but lacked the creativity to break down the Brazilian defence but Brazil really wasnt that creative in possession either. Where Brazil exsposed England was in the transition on the counter attack they exsposed Englands high defensive line with rodrygo and Vinícius Júnior using their pace against john stones and maguire running into space. Overall both teams were poor really and we really didnt learn anything from either team. Brazil didnt really control that game and play one touch amazing possession attacking football they exsposed 2 slow centre backs in periods and scored of a school boy error lol. England were actually the better team in possession and on the ball with different tactics England could easily of won that game If England played a more defensive game and couter attack themselves it would of took the treat in behind away from brazil. Brazil also gave away 7 corners and 7 to 10 freekicks thats a lot of set piece's and they were very lucky England fluffed all of them. holland scored 4 goals of set piece's the other day good teams who practicess set piece's are going to make them pay. All I see from Brazil is the same team who lost to Croatia in the world cup. good against small teams but against a decent tactical team who let them have possession and take the threat of rodrygo and Vinícius Júnior pace away or know how to deal with them defensively their not so good to be honest and its nothing to shout about beating England by exsposing the worlds worse center back and a slow center back on the counter attack lol. England wouldnt allow that to happen in a competertive game no decent team would. it was a freindly and thats all it was.

England almost controlled the game it was only defensive mistakes in the transitions where Brazil were dangerous and only in periods. England tried to be positive in this game they played possesion football with a high defensive line and tried to press from the front when they lost the ball. In my opinion you set your team up to protect your weaknesses and exsploit the oppositions weaknesses. Soughgate actually set the team up too positively no way can England play that type of tactic with maguire and stones defending from the halfway line against vini jr and rodrygo thats why England lost.
