It was gentrifying when I left DC in 1999...DC is so sterile now.

It was a different neighborhood in the 80's on Wisconsin Ave, for sure. My brother lived across the street from Good Guys and I was in 7th grade, watching all the guys pull up outside and go in, it was wild. He can't believe there's a Whole Foods now where the rug place used to be.

@@DCRealEstateMama Au Pied De Cochon the Bayou and the Key and Biograph....the city was somewhat uniquely interesting, Live in Saratoga Springs NY and went back to DC last year for a week for work...just sterile. Even the Zoo Bar is gone!
