Gremlins Director Joe Dante is saying that Baby Yoda (Grogu) from The Mandalorian is a direct ripoff of GIZMO from the 1984 movie Gremlins. Ok, first off.. Star Wars came out in 1977 and The Empire Strikes back in 1980. So, that’s a full 4 years before Gremlins came out.. So, if anything, GIZMO is a ripoff of Yoda. You cant tell me that Gremlins Director Joe Dante didn’t see the Star Wars movies before he envisioned what GIZMO would look like.. And the GREMLINS monsters for that matter! They look like a cracked out YODA! Second Joe.. What the heck would you expect a young Yoda type character to look like as a baby? I mean.. Dude, he's only like 3 feet tall as a adult.. Of course he's gonna look like what GROGU looks like in The Mandalorean…

I saw the trailer of the Munster. I'm not satisfied but I hope they need to change it including the story and some changes. I can not believe why they need to copy Gizmo's ears from the young Yoda. I'm a big Star Wars fan

Isn’t he technically correct because Baby Yoda didn’t exist & that they could have given him smaller ears or something, It is cool, sorry having trouble understanding what’s getting rebooted, The teaser looked better then the trailer I hope it’s good despite the trailer, That’s good as music videos was at least 50% of the original series

I can get behind the smaller ears since ears usually get larger as we get older and grogus are big already. But still, the whole similarity of the gremlins to Yoda tells me that Joe copied star wars first.

Big ears... Big eyes and big cheek are baby features...simply.. Why gizmo is the only character with that atributes? Bb yoda is not a copy.. It have its how characteristics

Um, Grogu is based on Yoda, which came out 4 years before Gremlins. I love gremlins, but Joe Dante needs to think before he speaks.

I like Rob Zombie. I like The Munsters. Rob Zombie should just stay away from film making, though. Ugh does this look awful. It could be one of those "MST3K" type things, though, where it's fun to get some buddies together and just roast it. I'll give it a chance, but man, I'm not too hopeful.
