Lord-IVD here good job for the community esp. linking up some of our best KZfaqrs and trusted names for anything Heroscape. Our community is a large part of the power of this game so to me looks like we stopped Renegade from making an FPIC error ! Or lets be honest we all would have just bootlegged the whole thing and someone else would get our money , We are a hardcore lot who have played through multiple dark times and will never stop playing.

Renegade is charging now for pre-orders, not waiting until they ship. They're holding onto everyone's money for five months while they produce and ship the product. How is that not a backdoor Haslab?

I agree that Renegade, NDA leaks or no NDA leaks needs to stand against the test of scrutiny. I do plan to purchase some of what Renegade releases in order to judge the quality of the work and if it is good then I will enjoy it. If not..... well..... let us see how they handle continued scrutiny.

Being completely honest. Whatever happens with figures. I'll buy some for the hex terrain. Whether the figures are effectively a second incompatible game system or not. Though battletech is my main game and I really want cheap tiles.

That's great! The game has something for everyone. It remains to be seen whether the tiles will be "cheap" or not; in the meantime I'm very excited about Source tiles coming out this fall.

I’m the Heroscape Reddit mod (LeftOn4ya) that took the thread down. I was asked by a Renegade playtester (note not an official representative) to remove it. I probably should have left it up but thought maybe eventually Renegade legal might take action.

I'll at least buy the first set, if for nothing else than a collector's piece in the history of Scape (I have a copy of AotP, but will likely never play it). The thing I did legitimately appreciate was your comment about the moderators taking the posts down. I'm sure there is more going on behind the scenes, than can be discussed and we may not know the full repercussions of the leak. It's still worth the discussion, but can't fault the mods for taking down the posts.
