Come along with me and witness a week in hotshot trucking at the close of December 2023. In this video you will see what my numbers were for four days starting with my load going to Florida. I hope this video gives you an experience to how hotshot trucking can work for you / work against you in a span of a week no matter if the rates are up or down. Good weeks happen and bad weeks occur too. It's all perspective.

One thing I definitely gotta give you props for bro is that you've been through a lot in this business in such a short time but when most would've easily given up, you don't have quit in your vocabulary and that says alot about you bro! Damn bro. Swear I ran I to this video at the perfect time. I got I to hotshot 2 months ago. I’m just a company driver for now but the “staying healthy” part got to me. I was 315 lbs 2 yrs ago and got down to 210 lbs. since I’ve started driving I’ve completely ended the fitness journey. But you just showed me that it ain’t no excuse. I’m finna get me a weighted vest and jump rope first thing tomorrow morning. Stay safe out there bro 🙏🏽💪🏽💯

it was actually in macon ga coming out of FL and that load dropped off in knoxville ; it was a little small tarp job, but i was so fed up, i forgot to record it 😂.. but preciate ya!

Hey man is there anyway to get loads without going the llc license and dot number route, etc? I recently picked up a 6.7 Cummins and would love to do some trucking jobs with it a few days out of the month to compound my monthly income with my other business I have. Also If you were in my shoes anything in home state come to mind for jobs u might do with ur truck?

from my understanding, unless u go completely private somehow, theres no way to get around having a dot number etc for "for hire" freight esp if you plan on hitting the load board for side jobs; i know non cdl u dont have to worry about IFTA snd stuff but u still have to deal with the cost of insurance etc; maybe if u know someone thatll let u run under their authority (lease on) so you dont have to deal with too much of the admin stuff, that might work but most of the time for lease on, you need your own llc but u dont have to deal with an authority etc.. insurance is still a killer

@@hotshotwithme I mean is it really a killer tho the insurance? It’s prob like around 1100-1300 or is it higher. That should be 2 loads tops but that’s probably a good day right realistically it could be 4 loads just to cover insurance?

My (and most) first yr was over 2k, now it's at 1.6.. I just try to hit in two days
