Seems like our niche is moving heavily into nvg and the rifle needs to support that. A good bolt, trigger and barrel along with suppressor capability are all standard- good stuff. Also i appreciate all your stuff, keep it coming!

I'll play. I'd say not gamer because it lacks the speed stuff that makes a gamer AR finicky. Not an obnoxious brake, no light weight BCG or silent, captured buffer system, the gas system, even with that barrel, will run a wide variety of ammo without choking, 5he rail is chonky enough to handle banging around rather than light and fragile, etc. It could use a light and/or laser, especially because the top dot on a LPVO screams passive aiming with NODS. Also, I'm going to need one of those prototype magpul bipod tabs.

Gamer guns sacrifice durability, reliability and/or generalized shootability/lethality for markedly increased specific shootability/lethality in an extremely niche context. You wouldn't take a MK18 with an Eotech to an Extreme Long Range competition, however both can be considered gamer guns for their specific context.

Love the setup brother. I personally would add a light and back up irons, because thats what I do, and rock the hell out of it as my go to rifle. Or even "gamer gun."

The LPVO + red dot looks good to me, plus the bipod makes it more useful in certain scenarios. My Hellion only has an LPVO on it, which works for it, because it's stupid accurate with AAC's 75gr "Saber Blade Black Tip" cartridges. ...I have that same Magpul bipod on it, & it's good enough for being an affordable lightweight bipod.

Fighting rifles can excel at competition as well. True gamer guns will probably shit the bed in adverse conditions when dirt and dust get into the skeletonized receiver set, or when you feed it ammo which isn’t tuned for it’s adjustable gas block and low mass carrier, or they’ll give away your position when the sun reflects off the blue and red anodizing.

optic setup is on the low end of magnification for a rifle with that stock and a bipod. That, plus no IR aiming device or white light makes it more on the gamer gun side for me.

When i think gamer gun I see a bright red or blue F1 skeletonized reciever, with a BAD lever, an lpvo with a bdc reticle zeroed at 33 yards and a strike industries muzzle brake.

What’s your preferred gas block securing method? I’ve heard criterion say pinning effects accuracy, but pinning is the most secure. Pin, dimple and set screw or clamp-on?

Gamer Gun 1. Lightweight barrel , usually carbon fiber 2. Barrel not made for longevity 3. Overly weight reduced through skeletalization cuts 4. Trigger lighter than 3 lbs 5. Muzzle brake Your rifle isn’t what I would call a gamer gun but it is accessorized for tactical game competitions. Nice blend of service and tactical competition.

The big gamer gun component to me is a muzzle brake. If you don't show up to the competition with a brake you don't intend to win.

I agree with the bipod assessment, I have the same one on my Ruger 5.56 and it wobbles all over the damn place. I have to c-clamp hard as shit and catch part of the bipod with my fingies for less movement.

I have not used a 1-8 twist yet. How does it shoot 77s? I'm curious how long the barrel and/or accuracy will last. I have used a Noveske Afghan barrel in my SBR. I loved the accuracy however, barrel life was short. And in the south SS barrels will rust quickly. I am very interested in doing a similar build. Just needs an arca rail. This looks much better than my old MK12

It’s been found a 1-7.7 twist actually stabilizes 77’s the best, Kyle Defoor’s signature upper BCM uses that twist rate. I’ve found 1-8 the best compromise for 55’s to 77’s

swap out the lpvo for a mpvo and you'd have a decent SPR mod H style rifle, I also recommend getting an acrop2 to replace the steiner. every steiner LAM I have had has fallen apart under mild abuse

Don’t think it’s a gamer gun. Not skeletonized and doesn’t have a muzzle brake. Is also painted. Don’t see that as much on a gamer rifle

This gun is reliable enough and wou't be a gamer gun. It's a nice tatical decision and with some training and practicing it can do the job just fine

Gamer Gun is a term used by people who blame others equipment for a shortcoming in their own abilities. Can you build a gun for competition only use? Sure, but at the end of the day it can be flexed into whatever role the end user needs

Ain’t no gamer gun. That stock does help balance an lpvo/dot with a bipod. Being able to take the bipod on and off quickly is great but if it’s on I think it’s a smart build.

I consider mine a gamer gun....huge brake....light bcg.... adjustable gasblock.....barely strips the first round off the mag......but it's the softest shooting ar I have felt..... (This Is not a defensive rifle.)

I wouldn't be able to make that call (if it's a gamer gun) unless I knew the trigger, the BCG and buffer and gas system, and barrel. Let's see if you cover all that UPDATE: definitely not a gamer gun, this is a serious use rifle which happens to be a good gun at games. Gamer guns have cassette triggers and modified buffer and gas systems and even BCG's that don't lend themselves much to adverse conditions. Everything on your rifle I would consider serious use approved. (Except maybe the bipod lol)

Who cares what ppl call it… it ain’t boring and it’s reliable & effective enough for a do it all (most of it) carbine. GPR/SBR/SPR/RECCE/GamerGUN/SHTFGUN…. Train with it and test it, enjoy it & take care of it cuz it may take care of you. I love it 😍

I recently switched all my bcg's to the Expo Arms chrome bcg's shoot like 500 rounds just pull it out and it wipes right off and they are so smooth!!! I don't think it is a gamer gun!!!!

Nah. That's not even close to a gamer gun. No ridiculously oversized muzzle brake. Mil spec BCG and other internals. No super lightened or enhanced parts. Might be an expensive gun but it's not a gamer gun.

Once the Honey Badger drops in 5.56, I’m gonna scoop one, and then my current rifle will be changed from its current 0-300 configuration to something like this. I’d like to stick with one optic, so I’ll be moving my EXPS 3-0 to the HB and using either a Trijicon Credo 1-8 or the EOTech 1-8 (Michigan brands 🤌🏻). If it’s reliable and accurate, there’s no reason it can’t be a serious use and competition rifle. A Glock 34 is a “competition” gun and it’s literally just a Glock. A Q5 Match is just a heavy PPQ at its heart. A Shadow 2 is just a CZ75 with a long dust cover. A National Match rifle is just an M16A2 with lead weights. People get silly when it comes to trying to separate shooting comps to shooting “for real.”

Not a gamer gun. To be a gamer gun youd need skeletonized everything in weird colors along with a binary trigger and tank brake 😂 Dont forget a TiN gold bcg.

DMR , SPR, RECCE are all contract terms for a rifle. Verbiage of different contracts that the military has looked at for a rifle that fills that infantry support with slightly enhanced capabilities compared to a standard service rifle IE better optics and more accurate. They are all the same thing. It makes me laugh when people get in the weeds about the differences of each and how different they are. The only time it would make sense to care about the extreme specifics is if you are doing a clone correct build. Otherwise the guns all have the same capabilities. Buzz words all of it

My knowledge of a gamer gun would be totally different then the one you have. Your AR looks the part but, the actual money you put into a true gamer gun would have carbon fiber barrel that will cause $400 to $500. But you are running high end parts in your AR. Your AR looks like a better entry AR gamer AR if that make sense. Hahahaha but all in all love watching your videos and your knowledge. Keep up the good work🤙🏾

Sick rig man. It’s a gun that looks like it can do anything. I’ve been running a SFP LPVO and love it. With the SFP you can see the dot even with scope shadow and blast up close like a red dot. Basically occluded shooting. God bless and pray for 🇮🇱. Gods land will not be messed with.

I don't know what a gamer gun even is...then I heard your explanation and no, it's not...that is a tool in the toolbox and when you need that tool it will do what you need it to do.
