QUESTION to everyone: 1. Is there anywhere the bible defines what a man's clothing is and what a woman's clothing is? 2. What is the biblical definition of a woman's clothing? 3. Does the bible say anywhere that a woman's clothes shoud be designed a certain way? 4. Why is the focus only on pants/trousers and not t-shirts or stockings or hats 5. Does bible in any book, chapter or verse forbid women to wear coats and jackets? 6. Does it anywhere forbid shorts and pyjamas or say they are men's clothing? 7. Does bible anywhere forbid women to wear pantyhose because it takes the form of pants? 8. Are ties/bow ties, belts etc men's clothing or a sin when worn by women 9. Are sweaters, cardigans, overalls, jumpers men's clothing only. IF ANYTHING, PANTS ARE the most appropriate type of clothing that can conceal everything a woman needs to conceal. A woman wearing pants does not have to worry about wind accidentally blowing her dress and exposing her underwear to all and sundry. A woman on "her days" is much safer and better off wearing pants than wearing a dress. It's easier for a sexual attacker to molest a woman wearing a dress than a woman wearing pants. There are pants designed for men and pants designed for women just as there is underwear designed for men and underwear designed for women.

I can see why Lord Jesus rebuked the phrases. Because of their motives. The whole Bible teaching is about our motives. If you were trouser with the intention to atrack men, then that's a sin. HOW IS THIS HARD? My gender is not so malleable but it depends on my attire. When I’m wearing shorts I’m wearing shorts for the convenience and comfort I’m not worried because I want to be a guy. You can clearly say I am a female. I don’t get how this is even a problem. Men’s attire isn’t even “men’s” attire it’s just attire, regulated toward men.

My only thing that I disagree with, here, is the use of the phrase “what you’re willing to show, you’re willing to share” only because it makes it sound like assault is justified if a woman is wearing revealing clothing, which I disagree with heavily. Ughhh I feel like some people in the comments miss the whole point of the Bible. The old testament has ALL kINDS of rules that we would ALL break. Leviticus 19:27 - men dont trim your beard. Jesus came to end the legalism, because NO ONE would ever get to heaven that way. Ever. He was very clear. He showed us what its important, that Jesus was all that matters and we are to follow his lead. This man "what your willing to show is what you are willing to share." That's the dumbest thing. Early Roman Christians wore togas, skirts and long flowing robes. The founding fathers of the USA dressed in wigs with ribbons, silk fancy clothes etc. In Medieval times men wore a dress shirt and leggings. A lot of Christians do judge with dagger eyes, a person how they look and dress, instead of looking at their hearts mind and soul as God does. Also the old testament says to not cut the body, but if one has open heart surgery is that sin when the body is cut. God looks upon the heart. When we are born again we are saved and Jesus is our righteousness and The Holy Spirit is given to us to guide us into all truth and we will be changed from the inside out , a new Heart and right desires are formed in us, everything wrought in Christ is Holy and everything of the flesh is not, so dead works of trying to be holy on the outside without the inside being cleansed is futile. Unless we are born again (spiritual birth in Christ Jesus) we will not enter the Kingdom of God. I have walked for many years born again and Jesus has changed me ( taken me out of Egypt and Egypt out of me so to speak) and things I once did and loved have lost their attraction and hold over me and when God sets us free we are free indeed. I am a woman believer of God and I believe a woman can wear anything that is modest. I believe the dress and skirts are more appropriate for a woman. I wear pants all the time. I m starting to feel not right wearing pants for church. That's a change I think I am making that's not coming from me. It's a very big sin for a woman to wear trousers, Deut 22:5 ,the word of God still stands, madam go back to your root. Many people on here say God looks are the heart and not what they wear. These people need to be careful. When someone says I accept Christ but inside his mind he is thinking I just want God to heal me - after that I would go back to my worldly lifestyle. Although that person has said the sinners prayer - that person is not saved because the prayer was not sincere from the heart. On my wedding day - all of a sudden my mind went through hundreds of scenarios of what my wife could do against me including cheating on me 😳 I decided that I loved this woman enough that whatever she did to me I could forgive her - so I gave her my ring and my heart as well. When one gives his life to Christ he must consider all the sins he commits and decide that Jesus is more important than all those things. That is what it means to do something from the heart ie genuinely. All genuine Christians go to heaven. So when people come here and say God sees the heart. The fact that you are outwardly wearing makeup, jewellery, trousers shows that your salvation was not from your heart - if your salvation was genuine you will give up everything that God says No to. Your life will be Jesus Christ and him alone. I mean how can a woman be dressed and look like a harlot, like a prostitute and say oh I repented and accepted Christ. It makes no sense.

It sounds like you guys (and gal) simply answered this question "off the cuff." You answered using your own experience, the norms of the culture, and gave very little attention to Scripture that is relevant to the question. In addition there were several logical fallacies and historical errors in your claims. If the Bible says something is an abomination to the LORD, it is a serious offense - God detests things that are abominable to Him. I think you are on shaky ground here. This issue ought not be taken lightly. In Matthew 5:19 Jesus gives a warning concerning the moral law: "Whoever therefore breaks the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." As far back as 1995, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (Oct. 17, 1995) published an article, by Carrie Rangers about a straight man, Dale Miller, who wore a skirt with a man's shirt, tie, and jacket to work every day (I've got dozens more articles along this line.) So if this trend continues - the same way women in pants did beginning in the 1920s and 30s, and it becomes “socially acceptable, will God be okay with it, in the same way you think God is okay with women wearing pants? I could go on with another ten to fifteen points. So, show me where I'm wrong. Give me your best arguments.
