Join Origins host Donn Chapman as he welcomes geneticist and scientist, Dr. Robert Carter for, “Noah’s Flood Genetics.” What evidence do we have for Adam and Eve, Noah's Flood and the Tower of Babel event in the human genome? The historical claims about human history in the Bible are quite clear. Yet, most evolutionists reject these claims based on a superficial study of available genetic data. Our guest will reveal not only can the claims can be tested but they can be confirmed.

According to my calculations, to go from 70 people to 2,700,000 people in 480 years, the growth rate is only 2.22%. If you go with 215 years, the growth rate still only goes up to 5.03%. To go from 6 people to 7,000,000,000 in 4,500 years, I calculated a growth rate of .465%, off just slightly from the .464% in the video.

And it stands to reason that as we become older, we also become wiser and with that we see and understand the value of the living soul and the sanctity of mind, God and life in a purer un adalterated way. There happens to be some word play in which the bible illustrates its intentions from the beginning, but does a good job through out explainig its purposes and propositions as to the reasoning why by unfolding its mysteries to the open eye and ear. 1. The most common date given for the flood is 4400 years ago, right in the middle of the Egyptians first burst of city and temple building, why did they not notice they were under water? 2. To flood the planet to over top the highest mountain you would need about 3 to 4 times the known amount of water in the world, where did all that water come from? 3. After the flood, where did the water go? 4. How did 8 people build a wooden ship bigger than any wooden ship built in modern times when THAT ship was reinforced with steel bracing and still broke up and sank. 5. How did animals with odd diets get to the ark? 6. How did 8 people deal with the needs of 10000 animals on the ark? Each animal had to be fed, watered, exercised and the poop scooped. Working 12 hours a day they would need to deal with over 100 animals per hour. 7. How did the animals get back to the four corners of the world when all plant life had been killed off by the flood? 8. If there were 10000 animals on the ark representing about 4000 species, and there is now about 8.7 million species on Earth, each species surviving the flood would have to generate 217 new species in the 4400 years since the flood. 9. Well according to the Book of Jasher, the wives ARE sisters. Jasher 5: 32-35 "And thou shalt choose for thy sons three maidens, from the daughters of men, and they shall be wives to thy sons. And Noah rose up, and he made the ark, in the place where God had commanded him, and Noah did as God had ordered him. In his five hundred and ninety-fifth year Noah commenced to make the ark, and he made the ark in five years, as the Lord had commanded. Then Noah took the three daughters of Eliakim, son of Methuselah, for wives for his sons, as the Lord had commanded Noah." If a species undergoes a population bottleneck, the lack of genetic diversity can be seen in the members of that species. NO such bottle neck exists in the overwhelming majority of species. 10. 4400 years is not a long enough time to generate the diversity in the human population to give rise to the different populations of people we see on the planet especially when you consider that effectively the genetic diversity was limited to 4 people, Noah and his wife and Eliakim and his wife. 11. Ken Ham's phony Ark has a million Dollar + heating, ventilation and air conditioning system that ensures that workers and visitors do not suffocate in the building. According to the bible, the original Ark had one window, 18 in square. Sorry people but if Ham's estimate of 1600 species represented by a minimum of 4000 animals, they would have suffocated.

According to evolution: Humans didn't evolve from modern apes. But, humans do share a common ancestor with modern apes. Scientists believe this common ancestor existed 5 to 8 million years ago. The reason apes are still around is because evolution doesn't require the elimination of previous stages, and ancestral animals continue to evolve in there environments (like chimpanzees). For example, current wolves and fish are different from those that existed in the past. Hope that helps.

There is a not so different similarity With digital code and genetic code. A word in digital code is either 0000 or 1111 or any combination possible with just 1 or 0. This called a word in hex coding. With RNA or DNA it is A, T, C and G.. I think the math for this is 256-4 possible combinations for each word. If my math is right then there cannot be a zero in the DNA code. Kinda points to someone wrote the code to generate life.

Were they predicting that the earth was soon to be “Peleg-ed?” I believe those that argue Eber was the father of “Hebrew” language and Peleg was named “divided” because the division happened around the time of his birth. This is just common sense. Though the biblical genealogies offer little help in establishing Adam’s creation date, three other biblical clues do. First, Genesis 10:25 states that the world was divided in the time of Peleg. Given the context of God scattering humanity over the whole face of Earth, this statement probably refers to the time when the Bering land bridge became the Bering Strait. Reliable carbon-14 dating places this event at 11,000 years ago. This date implies that the worldwide scattering of humanity must have predated 9000 BC and that Noah’s flood must have occurred before 9000 BC. The creation of Adam would have occurred much earlier yet.

It's a human thing, we try and use what we can to support our worldview. I can understand it, despite being a Christian I had been taught, and believed evolution. I now understand that evolution is true if you accept it as change over time as in dog breeds or bacteria but I also understand that it is impossible for anything to change into anything which isn't in its genetic material. Mutations do not provide that. The funny thing is that if an example of Darwinian evolution was found it would not disprove God. If God wanted to write into a cow's genetic code that it should turn into a whale at a certain time or in certain conditions then He could do so, just as easily as he wrote the code that makes a caterpillar turn into a butterfly.

God created what you see. That’s a fact. You may not like it. You would be just like me 20 years ago. I enjoyed sinning. I loved drinking, drugs, women, and all the rest. However, none of those things filled my soul. I was left empty. Boris Becker, famous German tennis player, won Wimbledon, and had fame and fortune. He reached the pinnacle of his profession. When he got there, he became despondent. He asked himself, “Is this it?” He almost committed suicide, because he felt like he had no other purpose. We all have a God shaped hole in us. It can only be filled by Him. You will never feel satisfied by what the world offers you. Denying truth doesn’t make it untrue.

It is almost always a waste of time trying to to debate or convince the die hard atheist/evolutionist . They insist you "prove" the Bible and creationism. Even though their theories have no basis in proof according to the principles and procedures of true scientific theory then models then discovery then proof, that sort of thing. You can present them with indisputable facts like the statistical impossibility of origin of life and principles of the laws of entropy but that does not matter to them. They will come up with "well such and such a person has a theory how this or that may have happened" all of which is of course just wild speculation. They try to impress and overwhelm you on how smart ,educated and how many degrees they have and when all else fails mock you and make jokes about you because they can't really give you an honest response that will work for their side. The bottom lines is they want to be their own "God's", and for them to admit that there is a creator would mean that they are accountable to Him. That is the one thing they will never do unless there is a true change in their hearts.

And is it a case of denying scholarship, or rejecting the philosophical underpinning of the naturalistic view? "So you think there is a possibility that genetics fit the Biblical account?" Given that this video shows that it fits, then obviously yes. "Correct me if I am wrong, but did you not say you were a 'supernaturalist' and not a believer in 'naturalism'? Or I am confusing the issue?" You're confusing the issue. I believe that God exists, created the world, and created the laws of physics under which his creation operates. So it _operates_ according to natural laws, but had a supernatural origin. When a biblical creationist looks at the evidence, he can consider whether or not something came about naturally or supernaturally. A naturalistic view rejects supernatural explanations, and will consider only natural explanations.

Before I advance some questions let me establish my credentials: I am an evolutionary biologist with 5 university degrees and 30 years experience re field work and research in my field. I also have a fellowship in cancer research ( BeV-1 viral destruction of osteosarcomas ). My focus has been upon evolution of whales from land mammals and statistical evaluation bearing upon the evolution of the saber-cat, Smilodon fatalis. My findings are well received in the USA and Europe. I have furnished museums with 35 new whale species not previously known to science. Though not focused on human evolution, I know something about it and human genetics. Questions: Inbreeding is not accounted for in the presentation given here. Inbreeding occurs when a pair of related parents pass genetic errors on to their offspring. For example sickle cell anemia. If parents are heterogeneous for this gene which effects blood component formation, off spring may remain sickly or have no symptoms at all while retaining an immunity to malaria. But if both parents are homogeneous for the sickle cell gene, their offspring will die. If a few people interbred for very long and they represented the human population, all would die very soon. Another question: Is the flood a legend perhaps given religious status when in fact it was an extensive regional event such as the Black Sea Flood that encompassed parts of Asia and Europe 8,000 years ago ? One thing is certain. No evidence for a global flood exists and it has been searched for 100 years. Furthermore, the Noah legend is based upon four previous tales, the one just prior to the Noah account being "The Epic of Gilgamesh." The initial story features many gods. Noah's tale features one. Another fact: Man evolved from ape like Australopithicines in Ethiopia, East Africa.3.2 - million years ago. The first of these had ape-like skulls but human lower limbs. They could walk upright. Ape ( chimp & gorilla ) DNA compares favorably with that of humans 90% certainty.Humans possess between 2% and 4% Neanderthal ( caveman ) DNA in their DNA. Humans Also possess the basic skeletal structure that first appeared in fish and amphibians 400-million years ago and they possess the modified skulls of synapsid mammal - like reptiles that first appeared about 300-million years ago During the Permian Period when all continents joined as one due to continental drift ( Pangaea.). All mammals do. Additional comment: Genesis 1 and 2 relate different accounts of creation specifically directed at the origin of the Jewish population. Yom in Hebrew does not have to mean a 24 hour day. It could mean millions of years, an indefinite period of time. Only in the Hebrew Commentaries will a reader discover that Adam had one wife followed by Eve. MitoDNA is very likely the result of a combination of previously isolated cells ( symbiosis ) as Mito and nuclear DNA differ. .

@@krakoosh1 And the title of this video is? First off. The Bible, save for some valid archeological information, scattered history like the original Hebrews were the Sahir', and a wonderful philosophy pertaining to how others should be treated that apparently died with Jesus, is a collection of fairy tales. Though they are between the same covers, the Old differs substantially from the New. All religions are created by different cultures. They do not represent reality. No where on earth is there evidence for a global flood and anyone familiar with genetics knows that whole sale incest would destroy a population. And what of the animal life aboard the ark ? Incest would destroy them too. Anyone that says differently is twisting scientific fact to sell books and DVDs to uneducated folks.

No proof of evolution, evidence is the opposite: 1) Cambrian explosion: All body plans appear at same time, early in Cambrian explosion. Eyes and other complex features all appear at once in Cambrian explosion. Fossil record is firm. 2) Avalon explosion single cells to complex life all at once. Fossil record is firm. 3) Lack of transitional fossils for most of life forms. Animals appear remain unchanged and most go extinct. The past predictions that new fossils finds would fill in the gap in the transitional fossils as not come true. There are “missing links” for most species. 4) Living fossils: Horseshoe crab, Nautilidae, Australian lungfish, nurse shark and many more. Animals appear, remain unchanged for long time spans. 5) Convergent evolution: Many complex features appear in unrelated animals and plants, too many to be evolution. Look at Chameleon and Sand Lance fish, same eyes (independent eye movements and special focusing lenses) and a darting tongue. The list is very long of convergent evolution, too long. 6) 6) Studies have shown mutations are only beneficial for species that have a very large population size, like bacteria. For all other animals mutations drives the species towards extinction. So mutations do not produce new and complex features, like eyes. When animals are stressed and have a small population size, we protect then, as they do not change. Mutations occur when DNA is damaged and left unrepaired. The ratio of negative to beneficial mutations in anything larger than an ant is harmful to the life form. 7) Natural selection can change an animal’s color and other small changes, but has been shown to have limits. Also, it has been shown that once the pressure that forces the change is gone, the animal will go back to its original state, changes are not permanent! Finch beak evolution, shown as proof, always fails to note the finch does not keep the large beak. As the food that forced the large beak is gone, the beak returns to its original size. 8) Origins of life: There was no primordial soup. There was no time for natural origins, as soon as the Earth cooled there was life. The first life forms were not “simple” as predicted. Cyanobacterium is very complex. There was not one simple early life form, there was a complete ecosystem with sulfate-reducing microorganisms also shows up early in the record, also a very complex life form. 9) Some clades are very diverse and some unusually sparse, evolution should work everywhere the same. 10) The recovery after mass extinctions is very quick, too quick for evolution. Permian-triassic Extinction: 90 percent to 95 extinction rate. Yet, life recovered in just thousands of years. Triassic-jurassic Extinction: Triassic dinosaurs gone and in just thousands of years all new Jurassic dinosaurs. Cretaceous-tertiary Extinction: Mass extinction, all dinosaurs are gone, as is most life forms, yet there are all new life forms in just thousands of years. 11) Breeding for dogs and horses for thousands of years. Change comes at a heavy cost, shorter life span and poor health. 12) DNA testing of close animals has shown they are not related. The two river dolphins and ocean dolphins are not related. The two panda bears are not related and the list can go on and on. 13) The proof of evolution is mostly: Animal A looks like animal B, so animal B must have come from animal A, how childish if you can not show how it happened. 14) Common Ancestry problem. Animals that have a recent common ancestor are too different. A donkey is very close in ancestry to the horse and zebra. So close that they may breed producing mules and zonkeys. Yet the donkey, horse and zebra are very different, too different. The donkey is very cautious and departs from danger, they can not be used in a battle. The horse willingly will go into battle, some like the danger. The Donkey and the horse are easily tamed and once tame will remain tame. Zebra are difficult to tame and difficult to remain tame. Other sample of this problem can be found in nature. 15) “Evolution Junk”, those that only believe in evolution have put on blinders and have made gross errors in the past about designs in nature. The theory is evolution is a series of random mutations, thus residual vestige of random mutations will be found in nature. In this thinking many scientists overlooked designs in life. Only later to be shown that what they called junk, was in fact a good design. Examples of this are many: Tonsils, Appendix, Panda's thumb, Whale hips (still taught as vestige, but this is wrong), Junk DNA, Humpback Whales fins, and more. There are neutral mutations, like some humans have three or one kidney, but these are not residual vestige or a case for design as they are rare. 16) Human exceptionalism: Charles Darwin wrote and many scientists followed this thinking: Animals that most look like us will most closely match our cognitive capabilities. After study and research, the animals that has the closest cognitive capabilities to humans are crows, ravens and New Caledonian Crow. The New Caledonian Crow can: Make fish hooks, teach others how to make fish hooks. Crows and ravens (same family) are the only animals to be able to solve multi step problems and make tools to solve these problems. MRI scans have shown crow and raven brains are the closest brain to humans. Yet Human exceptionalism has shown are not just a higher animal. Humans different much from animals. Humans are the only one to be active in: art, musical, jewelry, use symbolism, active religion, written languages, mathematics, have moral dilemmas and much more. Many of these appeared as soon as humans appear. Neanderthal has few of these abilities and is too different from Humans. Near the end Neanderthals lived at the same time as Humans. Neanderthals had no tear ducts, very large sinuses, large barrel shaped chest, short arms, heavy bones, different braincase, different ear bones, and more. There is no “missing link” to humans from bipedal primates. The large brain evolution hypothesis has been falsified after the discovery of early hominin with larger brains than later hominin fossils.

@@mickhealy572 My point is rather obvious, Evolution doesn't propose an explanation for the origin of life and so is irrelevant in the discussion. What's funny, in an ironic way, is that you say "I never claimed it was the origin of life" which may very well be true, but many could make a case against you being truthful given the way you interjected with your first inkstain comment to Mattman. However, you then go on to ask me if I think that Evolution has any bearing on the debate between Creationism and Science, followed by an ad hominem. Interesting, and, there seems to be an inconsistency in your thinking... Since Creationism is an assertion about the origin of life (a Creator created everything), why do you think there is a conflict with Science? Unless, in your mind Evolution *does* provide a counter theory to the origin of life, why would you bring it up in a discussion about the origin of life? It seems obvious to me, in your followup comments to Mattman and me, you somehow think Creationism is false, yet you have no proof that your position is true. Does the male Y-gene mutate every 22,000 years? Because there are 16 male lines by 4200bc, which by separation of "only 2700years" (untill 1500bc) would not account enough time for the findings of genetic science?

You are very good at argument. Evidently you are intelligent in some sense. The greatest intelligence their is is to by faith to believe God's word. God loves you and calls out to you to accept Jesus's work for the forgiveness of you sins. Yes you can out argue me. I haven't studied all that stuff you have studied. I don't need to because I have met the Creator and I fully trust him. If I am correct and I know I am I will spend eternity with a loving Savior. Those who reject his propiation for their sins are without hope in the day when he comes to judge the world. I think if either a believer or an atheist would be hard pressed to give tangible evidence of their own beliefs. We must humble ourselves and be willing to become as children if we want to escape the day of trouble that is coming on the whole world. It's not a fable. It's the greatest story ever told.

What a fascinating video! Even if studies didn't appear to prove the Bible I would still trust Gods Word completely for I've had a supernatural experience while fasting, praying and reading it! I was not only Saved but also Sanctified by the Holy Ghost in a "Circumcision made without hands" by the Spirit using the Word, that is sharper than any two-edged sword, as a Holy scalpel to seperate my fallen, sinful flesh from my "quickened", reborn spirit so that He could always live within me as I live within Christ! Therefore it doesn't matter what mankinds foolish "wisdom" thinks is truth; I know Truth, for He lives within my heart.

You show your hatred towards God by attacking his word you commit every sin which he warns you would lead you to hell. And then you take up a railing accusation against God, who made you. You are self righteous and pathetic. You’re probably in favor of abortion, which is murdering children. When’s the last time you’ve done anything for anyone other than yourself? Think about this I don’t know what’s coming for you on judgment day, but I’m guessing it’s going to be along these lines. They what measure you judge, and she’ll be judged under you. Go accuse GOD of all the starvation and suffering in the world, it is very easily proven that most of it is the result of mankind‘s disobedience to biblical principles on one hand and mankind’s willingness, and even enthusiasm to persecute his neighbor for small gaiins. The problem for Christendom over the last 150 years as we’ve been willing to suffer fools and grown ass children like yourself. You are at the point of open mockery. You have been wrong about everything and GOD mocks to your face but you’re too stupid to see it. You cried about global cooling in the 70s but things warmed up and now you cry about global warming, but things cool down so now you call a climate change. You can’t even admit there’s two genders anymore because you’re a degenerate fool who has been turned over to delusion, and he chose your delusions to mock you before those who are willing to listen to the voice of God. Many will wake up because your foolishness will be exposed. I pray that both the science and the archaeology bring forth multitudes of examples against your foolish conjecture, and lies against your creator, who you hate because you are evil. And my prayers will be answered. You will die mocked and defeated. You will no longer even care about your own reputation or intellectual standing as you are perplexed with how badly your wife has gone and then behold, your old and frail frame broken and diseased, will tremble with thoughts of your coming damnation. Laugh now you shall week later. This is your time. enjoy every moment Hell Eternal is your portion, accept you repent. There is no counsel against the Lord. Our God is not mocked, but long-suffering, so that even a wretched fool, like you might come to repentance, but at the end, he is not mocked he will reap that what you sow either by his will to eternal life in the saving of your soul, or to your will which is contrary to your on welfare unto eternal damnation(prepared not for mankind, but for the angels who rebelled against him who is chattel you are in Adam, if you are not redeemed in Christ unto eternal life. The choice is yours ,I hope against hope that you would throw off your self hatred and turn to God while there is time. I have a theory that exponential growth of human population coincided with the invention of currency and, therefore, the introduction and escalation of usurious lending of money. People had to start having more children in order to get out of debt, even if the land could not reasonably sustain a growing population. Industrial farming practices were then developed to meet the needs of a growing population; they did not cause the growth.

Robert Carter is a wonderful doctor and good Christian presenter. It would appear this is too conservative of an example though, since we are talking roughly 1500 years until the Flood and then 4, 500 years until the present time, and we have 7,000,000,000 people now after triple that time span...the population before the Flood in one third of that time could easily be estimated from 500 million to 2 billion for the population of the earth before this huge destruction.

A simple explaination for people at that time but accurate non the less. If you want to dismiss the simple explanation of the incredible complexity of the origins of life that the bible recounts, go ahead. I can completely understand. However, I am able to conceive of life forms that are different/superior to ours, things seen and unseen. Most people believe in some form of this. The concept of a designer/creater/architect is completely acceptable to me, even reasonable as nothing worthwhile has ever happened accidentally, hence the word "accident". Not a very good word to describe something as incomprehensibly complicated as life. Can I explain /understand every detail? No. But I do know this, male and female mammals are different creatures and it takes one of each to "procreate" life, as we know it. The possibility of these two life forms "evolving" together over millions or billions of yrs is incalculable. Not enough 0s in the knowen or unknown universe.

Keri Williams Hi. It's ok to say everything you see has to be designed. You can look at buildings, paintings, cars etc. You can trace these back to the designer and the manufacturer. It's a big leap to be able to do that with creation. You must have heard the saying extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. You can't just say because I don't believe evolution ,it makes more sense that a god did it. That's called the god of the gaps. If the sun wasn't the perfect distance away from the earth and the moon wasn't in the perfect position to the earth we wouldn't exist doesn't mean it's not possible that it just happened bearing in mind there are trillions upon trillions of planets and stars ✨. That to me is more possible than a supernatural being had control and made it the way it is. Keri, are you also a young earther? You say that nothing happens on its own but you are accepting a god producing everything from nothing.

There was an article in TIME magazine many, many years ago presenting genetic evidence that we all come from just a few ancestors. But the scientists, ignorant of the Scriptures, did not understand the consequences of what they were presenting. The Bible is tomorrow's newspaper today. I am a Ph.D mathematician with an NSF postdoc behind me. The odds against spontaneous self-organization are ineffable. The great logician Kurt Godel is reputed to have declared (to Hao Wang) "The formation within geologic times of a human body by the laws of physics (or any other laws of similiar nature) is as unlikely as the separation by chance of the atmosphere into its components" The Universal Generalization that the current experience presents us is that intelligent organization depends on an intelligent agent for its existence. All books have authors All computer programs have authors No computer boots itself Buildings, automobiles etc same thing The explanations given by modern biology are based on INVALID PATTERNS OF INFERENCE. For example, the biologist reasons in this manner Here is an egg and here is a golf ball. Therefore they have a common ancestor (homology fallacy).

The earth is not 6,000 years old and the Bible does not teach this. Hebrews 4:9-10: "There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his." This tells us that the 7th day has not ended. Thus day 7 is a long time span, thus day 1 to 6 must be a long time span. Each believer are to enter into day 7. Also there no "evening and morning" for the 7th day. As day 7 as not ended. Biblical Hebrew has a limited vocabulary, with fewer words compared to other languages, such as English or Spanish. This means words often have multiple meanings determined by context. Day - yom is commonly rendered as day in English translations, but the word yom can be used in different ways to refer to different time spans thus literally is: Sunrise to sunset Sunset to next sunset Time period of unspecified length. (long time span ). We use the word day the same today: In my grandfather’s day cars did not go very fast. Deuteronomy 33:15 and Habakkuk 3:6 "ancient mountains". The events of day 6 can not have happened in 24 hours. Have you entered into the 7th as Hebrews 4:9-10 asks you to?

And the accounts of the Israelites meeting other peoples in Canaan (including Goliath, etc.) makes no reference to nephilim. "The biblical flood was 5,000 bc Neanderthals have been around for 450,000 years." This is a classic case of comparing chalk and cheese. The flood was around 2350 BC (not 5000 BC) _according to the biblical dating,_ while Neanderthals were around much earlier _according to secular dating._ You're basically saying that the biblical account doesn't fit with the secular account. How is the Biblical account of the infusion of Nephilim genes into those of mankind demonstrated in your models?

Very good question!! I've been tossing that around for awhile now, wondering if there are still distinctive behavioral traits that might be associated with it.

@SAP 23 Thank you for that very informative, long-winded explanation. It explains what Paul was going through at Romans 7:14-25, and what I, and probably most self-examining persons, have to be constantly reminded, the struggle that living in the flesh is in conflict with living in the spirit. I thank Jesus every day for helping me hold the line and "rescuing me from the body of death". Thank you again. You made sense.

Thank you both. I have a feeling I would very much enjoy discussing this topic and many others, further with either of you.

"biblical account"? The "sons of God" that this passage tells about are not angels, but the descendants of Seth who served God. The "sons of man" were the Descendants of Cain who did not. Angels were created to be in God's service. They do not procreate, Jesus said. Math. 22 23:31
