It probably would be fine if they were designed by Nintendo, but when I hear that concept, all I can think of are those flash games where the developer just purposely puts many insanely hard yet boring parts that force you to reset over and over again giving you the impression that the game is long and challenging. However, in Nintendo's case they could probably keep it easy enough for most people to clear yet challenging enough to be fun and throw in a couple interesting mechanics. For some reason I just generally tend to hate games that were designed so that you have to be moving at all times. It just feels restricting. In this video's case, it's fun and interesting to me because you're trying to play the game in a way it's not normally played, which is also a feature you would probably lack in the game concept you thought of. That being said, it probably would be a relatively fun and successful game, just way outside my demographic.

In 5 Ghosthouse you can't get to the secret exit while in the shell at all times since you need to climb a vine to get to the part where the door is.

i wish the blue shell came back in the New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe/ New Super Luigi. U Deluxe instead of the stupid crown that can only be used by one character, while the blue shell could be accessible with all the characters (exception for Nabbit, who can't use the power ups)
