I remember when your Dad got a face full of gasoline. Fortunately he acted quickly with the bread to soak it up from his mouth, and was hosed down to prevent absorption through his skin. inline fuel filter might help!! good fix it will come in handy!

Should have left the fuel line off and poured fresh gas in to rinse it out a bit before filling it up I always do that with the projects I work on it's better than letting bad gas that has moisture in it mix with your new fuel it can cause issues with the carburetor

I also grew up learning to save anything that may be useful. I had to teach my wife and show her that "recycling and reusing" what can be reused is not hoarding, but being sensible and thrifty. It is so sad that we have become a "throw away" society.

Not sure if you guys have the time to read these comments. It I just wanted to say I really like the KZfaq channel over the tv series. With the series it was great at first. But then you could tell every time the “director” was making “drama” happen. This format suits you guys soooo much better. Showing the real ingenuity of you all!! One more thing. I wanted to ask if you all remember some folks by the name of Morton? To be specific. Daisy George jr. and George senior? Pretty sure you guys used to wait at the bus stop with them! They now live on the island I am from in Maine. Vinalhaven. They are some very down to earth and awesome people. So awesome as a matter of fact!!

That roller compacter came to life pretty easy all things considered. some TLC and maintenance and it should do well for a while. Also looks like it will be useful.

The water is so the hot asphalt (HMA) doesn’t stick to your double drum vibratory roller. That’s why they call them steam rollers because when the water hits the HMA it makes steam. A small roller is more for asphalt and not really soil or base. But it does work
