Worked in Mosbi in 1990 for a while and thought it was great. We used to catch PMV all the time to Goldie River and into the city. Never had a problem with rascals the whole time. The only time it sucked was when the curfew came in. Other than that it was a great place. I wanted to get to Lae but never got around to it. Have been back again in '17/18 and it was a little different. Love the country, love the people. I have a soft spot for PNG though as I was born in Morobe and spent 5 years living in different places like Mt Hagen, Wewak, Lae. Lukim yu.

In the year 2007, during my tenure in Port Moresby, owing to security issues I was bound to reach my house before 6.00p.m. Attack with bush-knife was rampant at that time. I wish that Port Moresby would have improved by now.

beautiful place, I wonder why a lot of PNG student's studying here in Philippines, seems they are enjoying as well

Not too many specialized uni's and college's in PNG so alot of students can't get in. Philippines have alot of uni's and college's plus it's cheap and education quality is good also the people and place is nice. 🇵🇬🇵🇭♥️

The biggest roundabout is probably in Italy in the city of Bari next to the Stadium San Nicola. Now that is big. :)

The only reason people say that it's not safe is it's less work for law enforcement. Keep people frightened and they are easy to control. Come on politicians more police on the beat, more jobs for the unemployed and stop rubbishing the town

It is possibs to drive from port moresby to west papua indonesia??
@billysatrio27314 жыл бұрын
Nah... as I know there's no accessible road after you pass through the border of PNG. And the second reason as I know is PNG and Indonesia is actually neutral but there's no such strong diplomacy between both country, so you can not pass through by land vehicle like in Indonesia-Malaysia or Indonesia-Timor Leste. The gate always close for vehicle entrance and if you want to go through the border between two countries, you have to walk by foot. I believe the separatists movement is one of the strongest reasons Indonesia and PNG border can not be accessable by land vehicle.

Hi there, thank you for your Video. Quite nice and informative. I have an opportunity to work in PNG but have a concern about about personal safety and other health matters (Covid-19) . I follow up on the US, Canada , and other government travel alert and there are quite disturbing. Could you please share some info Cheers

@arthurboiiimona1034 жыл бұрын
it's safe. Just get yourself a good guide. People are very open. You just have to start opening up. You'll be surprised by how people will react and like your openness. You just have to talk. Other than that, there are places where people will probably warn you from going to, but if you have a good local guide and be good friends with him, he'll advise and look after you. i suggest go with an open mind to learn something new. it's not bad to be advised to be precautious, but be ready to learn and speak to people.

Yes it is. I did for a couple of year no probs. Use your common sense and street awareness and you'll be fine. Don;t dawdle at traffic lights or intersections, keep your windows wound up and your doors locked. DOo't do it at night and avoid danger areas.....

Papua New Guinea is one of the dangerous place to be, high crime and no peace and order in the country.
