Being in the military whenever I hear that a vehicle is made with military grade anything I automatically know that I will not be buying that car.

I'm a ford guy and I can say that it is ridiculous how much they charger for a pickup truck. Such a waste of money, there are so much more you could do with the money.

My 8200 coworkers and I work hard every day to build these awesome trucks. You might say, 'What the, 80k for a truck?' I agree that is a lot of money to some people. That's also the reason why it's a platinum edition! It has damn near everything, as you clearly see in this video. Most people don't pay anything near this, as you could easily imagine. But ask yourself, would you have watched this video if it said mid-range and comparably equipped $45k F-350? Probably not. People want proud American made products, but don't want to pay American wage prices.

Can't believe trucks can cost up to $80k. It's crazy how car prices are rising. Used car is the way to go.

Most definitely worth it. Luxury has been keeping me out of the big truck market for years. I've been buying SUVs and European cars because of the modern features. Putting them into a big truck opens a new market for me. The extended cab gas SRW xlt still fits the need of the "working man". This truck is targeting people like myself. I want to have utility with luxury. I've seen these going for 10k below MSRP, so add that to current incentives and I say it is a deal!

Simple answer is that $80K is too much even though you do get a lot for the money. I have to wonder how much it will cost to replace a mirror, a headlight, grill, bumper etc... Nice truck but the average guy can't afford it.

I have a 2016 F350 4dr FX4 and it came with the 2nd Generation 6.7 Diesel and that 40 extra ponies difference from the 1st Gen 6.7 model is felt big time. I towed 8klb trailer from Texas to Miami and kept forgetting I had the trailer hooked up. Got 15mpg with the weight. Its a beast and the power is ridiculous from the bigger turbo. Smart of Ford to send the 2nd gen 6.7 out on last years model to work any kinks out. Too bad I cant afford the new Platinum. Massaging seats would kick ass.

Bought this exact same truck and I already have custom off-road tires, wheels, suspension, lift and axles on it. Can't wait to finish the build on it and rip up in the trails with my 80k diesel monster. Runnin 44' swampers on it, next thing is going to be performance mods so it can go up steep hills and inclines...

Nice review. I prefer to be in control of my vehicle whether it be a two wheeled vehicle or a six wheeled vehicle. I've driven with manual transmission most of my licensed driver life so control of operation is second nature. My last new, off the lot vehicle was in 1999. That was a stretch since my income is from a pension. I paid off the credit union in less than 5 years but it was a struggle to do with out things for those 56 months. Britght side is I still do without things and don't feel the financial crunch. Peace...

My uncle went online on Fords build and price page. He went threw and ordered it in platinum, and also ordered it with every option for interior and exterior. And it was 2017 platinum F450 4x4. The price was a little over $80k. That he wrote them a email saying that he wanted a 4:56 rear end. He paid a extra 1k for that. That and also with diff lock. His is a gold color and platinum. It is really nice. He give them cash. And paid full price. The diff lock was also an extra 1k dollars. That and he had them rust proof the frame and also had something done with the aluminium body to keep it from caroding or rust or whatever happens to aluminium. I do like the center automatic shift. And the 4wd and diff lock works excellent. He is a farmer. And drives threw high snow and muddy fields. So hopefully this year it works well. He ordered it last week. Me and him cannot wait to see it.

Best truck I've ever had 2001 f350 super duty. 7.3 power stroke. She's still working. Has 210.000 on her only. Time for some body panels but hands down she's been the best ever. Have gone through many diesels , dodge , gmc 6.6 and a few dodge gassers but hands down the super duty pays for herself when you put em to work. $80 plus grand tho. Ouch !!!!! And to think they will only start costing more. 2020 f350 ---- 150,000????? Ha ha. Nice vid champ
