Wow, same thing happened for me. Bought one and got blue eyes toon. Couple days later bought one more from same place and got another blue eyes toon.

Yeah that 2nd box just goes to show how nice we have it now a days with a holo in every packs, lol. I am liking this set more than I thought I would. Can’t wait for the full booster boxes to be released and just open boxes of MRD, LOB and PSV.

I have opened 6 Display boxes.. not one single foil card yet.. no super, nothing.. absolute trash.. it wouldnt be so hard if i havent spent over 1000 dollars in the last 4 months getting back into yugioh and havent pulled ANYTHING.. NOTHING.. then went all out on these display boxes.. Every person I see pulls 3 Secrets, 2 Ultras and a Super PER BOX.. trying so hard not to cry.. I think it a sign for me to never pay money for this game again.. huge mistake over 1000 dollars gone and aint got no pulls to show for it.. So no box he had was "ROUGH".................... my life is rough.. did 31 blisters of Maze of memory and pulled my only pull yet.. a 5 dollar Black Luster Soldier.. the only thing that kept me from drop kicking evrything in my room.. if i didnt get that 1 pull.. I would probably be in jail right now

This is fair. It’s gonna be hard to tell right away and just like any product it’s a gamble. The promos definitely help the value and I do think the quarter century rares will go up in value in time. It also depends if your a collector or a competitive player. If you play competitively, then no this really isn’t worth it. If you just collect then yeah this is going to be something good for a long term investment.

@@your_movei agree except the promos will go down over time imo. they pretty much all have little scratches on the back unless you're super duper careful in shipping the thing and opening the promo pack. however, the psa 10s of them will definitely go up as they'll be low pop

OG pokemon reprints from their 20th anniversary were kind of slept on when they came out but 12 months after they were OOP they became worth quite a lot more

@@GloriousGrunt im sure they had much better quality control than yugioh tho, and my comment was just for now(like current opinion i suppose). they'll 100% get more expensive as time goes on. the main point of these are the 25th rares tho and if almost all have that smudging in the back theres almost no real value unless grading. youre almost guaranteed to lose profit unless you get lucky is what im saying since the pull rates are low in these. also clarifying my last reply to yourmove, the promos will also go up slowly but i think they'll be like the bpt promos. if theyre not perfect itll pretty much cut half the value(as time goes on and the mint ones rise)

Yeah it really is a gamble. And Euro prints usually get way better packaging for these type of sets I have noticed. I don’t know what that’s about but I am a little jealous the euro sets are getting extra storage lol.

That’s fair. And frankly the reprints are killing the value of the previous iterations of the cards. It’s fun to open just for nostalgia purposes but beyond that it’s not great value.

Euro versions always get the better packaging and darker prints, both of which I prefer. In the states we get the cheap stuff like this.

@@your_move I got mine in the U.S. at a Target… that’s why it’s so weird. I guess here they have two separate packages.

@@PepsiManX360 That is odd. I have only see that style box in Euro openings. Some times stuff does make its way here randomly if the seller is Canadian as they have their own special CA/UK prints also but that is the only time I have been able to get Euro boxes.

Metal Raiders was pretty awesome. Probably my 2nd favorite set for sure.

Yeah that’s how it goes with this set I have noticed. It’s boom or bust.

I opened 6 display boxes and havent got a single foil card yet... nothing.. not even an iconic common......... tried had as I could not to cry hearing how dissapointed he was with his second box while he had a gold mine of secrets and foils on his table..i truly believe some people in life are cursed to deprived of all existence.. i tried to dump everything i had into my childhood as an iscape from this dark reality of my existence and it only made it 10x worse.. i cant have a car, i cant have a girlfriend, cant have a working brain, cant have a pull.. i dont get life..

@@tusanity it’s not always this good. Trust me I have had some bad boxes in the past and some bad pulls many times. It’s just cause of the sheer volume that I open it seems like I get more. I try to be selective about the sets I open too. You are correct the 1st box I got was stellar and that was not the norm. Most boxes will be like the 2nd box. It’s just how the RNG falls some times.

Maybe, but the reprints are overhyped cus ppl are selling older unlimitrd prints for the same or less even. CED was errata'd so itd be worth buying single though...

Really the RNG with this set is really all over the place. I have seen SimplyUnlucky go 12 packs and not pull a single holo from these packs. It really is just a big gamble at the end of the day. Some get lucky and some don't.

Yeah I was not too high on it at first but I am actually itching to get back in to it now.

Definitely a cool way to celebrate. Way better than what Magic and wizards of the coast came up with.

IOC is actually a really great set. DCR isn’t a bad set I just think it doesn’t get as much love cause it didn’t have as many big name cards as compared to other sets.

@@your_move I just remember Jinzo being annoying and never liked playing him haha. What do you do with your commons? Would it be a decent idea to put up chase cards and selling them in “packs”?

@@DnDJordanL yeah Jinzo could be a pain… and it’s why I loved him, lol. Jinzo was the first secret rare I ever pulled too. As far as commons I usually sell my bulk to my local card shop. I had thought about putting together packs for give aways as well but wasn’t sure about it. I sell a lot of cards on TCGplayer too so that I can reinvest in the channel.

Yeah it definitely stings a bit when you spend $30 on something and come up short.

It’s hard to say. This is the 3rd time they have reprinted these sets. After this was announced the unlimited print from previous runs dropped in value. But the nostalgia factor plays big in this. I do think the values will go back up on most stuff in time. It’s just a matter of waiting and seeing.

I may be wrong but I think the holo spells and traps out number the monsters that are holo.

@@your_move nope u right. I bought it because i wanted to make proper decks to play but the monsters in it exept the divine one were like "nah" but overall combined with a structure deck( saga blue eyes ) i made 3 proper deck with some dope spells/traps in it(even rare ones)

That’s actually pretty solid. The 25th anniversary rares are random and there are 6 of them. The 3 gods and the big 3 monsters. Blue eyes is of course one of the most sought after. Congrats.

That is fair but at the same time the quality has been crap across the board with most Konami sets recently. I do agree though, for nostalgia purposes, sure get a few and have fun. But don't expect anything beyond that.

In the video I was just using the Konomi sleeves from MAMA but I usually use penny sleeves. I had just run out lol.

Yeah the pull rates are all over the place. But your right, 3 holos out of one box I guess balances out the no holos in the 2nd box! Lol.

Yes you do get regular ultra rares of them guaranteed. The 25th anniversary rare that is sparkly is random.

I think I will be buying more of these for the channel. I want one of each of the big 3 monsters in the 25th anniversary rare.

I am the same way as far as being more new school. But still it’s a fun way to celebrate 25 years. I won’t invest too much in it but it was fun seeing some of the old school stuff again.

I agree. There are other sets from all across the past 25 years I would love to see reprints of. I would love to open some GX pack reprint and some of the 5DS sets to try and get Ultimate Rares or Ghost Rares.
