That’s totally fine, because we all are excited when it happens. I hate to come across as a Debby Downer, because I was equally as happy. I usually marinate in the excitement for an hour or so before I sit down and analyze the announcements in greater detail. 😄 Yeah, I’m wondering if they went a little overboard with the padding to get the prototype out. Hopefully that’s changed by the time the final product is released. Congrats on the preorder! I placed mine RIGHT before I hit record, lol! 🙌😄

I agree, I don't know what that's about honestly. They did that with Snowspeeder Luke as well. Still love it though personally, I just feel as though he's too old for this time period is all. Other than that he looks pretty awesome in terms of his portrait!

It was really tough to say when this would be released, because I wasn’t sure he would come out any time soon unless it was through a live action clone wars flashback or the Canon animated Clone Wars media. I think the only reason I started diving into it a little more was because of what we already have with Anakin, the massive portrait change, and the chunky appearance of his upper body. Absolutely, I couldn’t agree more! While I’m excited for figures like Asajj Ventress, I can’t say she’ll be coming out any time soon. We don’t have a live action portrayal of that character, but they could always get the go ahead from Disney to interpret her in a live action nature from the animated content. I doubt it, but we do have TCW: Ahsoka… anything can happen. 😄 With that said, I think having almost the whole cast from Rebels allegedly showing up in Ahsoka, we might see them all at some point! I feel as though it should be tailored for him and not just applied from the clones we have today. Or... Ahhhnuld definitely trained with Kenobi in canon material, lol! To a certain extent, maybe. In comparison to what we have with Anakin, he'll end up being pretty stocky next to him. I still think it's mainly padding that wasn't 100% ironed out, but just enough to get the prototype out of the door. My comparisons with the animation weren't me saying I expected him to look that thin though either. I can see the issue with the surcoat. I'm guessing either they took it as the same material from the ROTS, or they were told it was by Disney. I'd like it to have the same cloth texture to Anakin though myself. I'm not a fan of the fabric, but it isn't one that would bother me if they kept it. Good thing to point out though regardless.

@@BostonCollectors hot toys could thin up the armor a bit more to remove some of the bulk but I think it’s a nice balance to the head portrait and the helmet proportions depending on which way the customer wants to display. If they were to revisit the upper armor they’d like need to revisit the belt sculpture as well because it’s about getting those two points to work together. If they thin up the shoulders I think he’s going to look like he’s a bit chunky in the middle due to the belt and pouches creating additional width. Now looking at those pouches more closely they appear to be more styled after Anakin’s rather than Obi Wans in the CW or prequel films. I’m getting knit picky here. Don’t get me wrong, I really like this figure!

@BostonCollectors I own a few hot toys myself. Some reuse is gonna be done. It'd part of figures no matter if hot toys or not

Reuse is fine to a certain extent, but if prices continue to climb and they reuse often, I guess we have to suck it up and deal with it if we go by that logic. As consumers we have a right to complain just as much as we praise. I don't believe in spending the amount of money we do and not complain if something could be better. To each is own I suppose.

I understand. Is it the way the beard interact with the upper lip? If so, I felt some kind of way about it as well, but hoping they make some changes in the final product reveal.
