I went back and did a recount, but I did add The Bad Batch and Boba Fett to that total. Regardless, I do have more coming in. I was waiting for more Battle Droids to do a full posing showcase video, but this could work too! 🍻🙌🏼 Looking forward to the room tour!

Wasn’t sure whether to get this as it’s just a reissue of MMS515 which I already have. But maybe I will because the diorama piece alone I’ve seen going for £100+ so may be worth picking up again. The backing is just a piece of card btw that slides up to reveal the battery compartment 👍🏻

Ahhhhh, ok, ok. It was hard to tell, especially from that one I’mage. Thanks for the heads up! Sounds like the diorama had the Luke/Vader helmet effect from before. Would be interesting to see the changes you catch if you did decide to go through with it. 🍻

I missed out on the original release of this guy, waited too long and sold out. Happy to see this, was hoping for a re-release of this guy doing the 40th anniversary. ROTJ is my favorite stormtrooper design so im getting like 4 of these for a squad.

Then this is huge for collectors like you, congrats! I'm glad that I'm not a fan of the design, or else I'd be screwed due to needing multiples in the display. I do like the style of the diorama though, they have me there! Thanks for watching, and congrats again!

I have 4 so since you have 40 two more Stormtroopers for me would be sweet ROTJ version is my favorite cuz they pose better than the new ones and since I don’t have the diorama which I been wanting for a while am all in. 💯

In the UK this sells for about £260/270 which is just insane for a stormtrooper.

i think i’ll get 2 of these, very special figure to me since the original was my first hot toys figure. also about the hand guards all hot toys trooper hands work the same way with the piece glued on top

Lots of Star Wars focus, hopefully we get the CW Kenobi to release soon! AND with some pleasant surprises like better hands as you mentioned in your IIWTP video featuring that!

Oh yeah, and I'm loving it! Last year we didn't get too much of a Star Wars focus, but it's making sense because of this event. I'm also excited for the CW Obi-wan and The Kenobi Obi-wan! But again, the hands for the CW version could definitely use an update. Hopefully they do us right and silently update them the way they did Padmé's. I'd be grateful! 🙌

This is a reissue. The wall back piece is for army building. If you get a couple you can put the panels together and make a section of wall.

@@BostonCollectors when they first came out the deluxe was 225 I believe the non deluxe was 180...those were the days. Believe the royal guard was 205.

The back is printed cardboard and slides up to reveal the battery compartment. The price is good, these were selling for 450.00 in 2021

Ahhhh, yes! TK421 mentioned that previously, and it made sense. $240 sound a heck of a lot better than $450, so it's worth it in that respect. 😅 Glad I'm not a fan of them enough to collect, or I'd be looking for another job...

Even more if you catch them on a Daily Deal, which they've been up there quite a few times. If it's just the representation of Stormtroopers a collector is after, that's a great way to go about it.

Now THAT would look epic! I'd love to get a few of these and have them behind the Kenobi Vader base, but I'm unsure if the curvature will be a major problem or not. Either way, an awesome display option!

I wont lie, Im not an army builder by any means but I always said if we got any OT Stormtroopers Im all in. So far have 3 on order, may grab a few more but Im looking forward to using this diorama with other figures.

For this one, I'm leaning more toward the display base option. It would look good with OBWK Vader's base. A few stormtroopers flanking Vader would look nice in the display, but they would also look strange for me and out of place with the others. At least they're here now for you to commit and maybe even rack up a few more if space/money allow for it.

I’m not really sure why that term came out instead of a rotating table, but it’s synonymous. I guess I just ended up using what my mother use to call them. 😅😅 Thanks for watching!

It's a stormie. If I don't order it my friend TK421Collectibles will make my life a living hell. I think one of my Han Solos has the same diorama, and thinking they can be joined together. Gee, what magicalness are they going to wow us with next week (Star Wars Day)? Thanks for the memories, Jonathan.....here's to many, many more.

I'd have to deep dive in all the smaller details for Stormies to know this. I'm sure there's more of a modern design to them as well, but it's honestly tough to see unless I take the time to analyze them all. This is where I defer to Poky 🗿

Just don't leave the AA batteries in there like I did with my Han Solo in Stormtrooper armour. Luckily they didn't leak into the electronics. I now have pulled all the batteries out of my collection. In regards to the accessories... I see to think all that does for me is put extra weight for shipping and extra plastic which will sit back in the box. I'd rather Hot Toys save us from a tone of accessories and give us a reasonably priced figure because the accessories really bring the price way up.

I'm one of the luckily few (for now) where I haven't had that happen. I fear this in my Iron Man figures. It would've been a great choice for them to have 2 SKU's with and without the diorama, because I'm sure there are more collectors who don't care to display it. Not to mention saving money.

Good video! I'm not a huge fan of Stormtroopers either. I like how the description identifies them as "Stormtroopers are elite shock troops fanatically loyal to the Empire and impossible to sway from the Imperial cause." I think we can admit there's nothing elite about them lol

Yeeeeaaah, the lore is interesting though, I'll give them that. Even learning more about them in The Bad Batch I thought was pretty sad, but still not enough to make me move on collecting Stormtroopers. There is certainly NOTHING elite about them and that's the main reason I don't collect them. I love my Death Troopers though! 😄

You and I both, in terms of The Bad Batch! I had high hopes for season 1, because there was SO much! We can only hope though, because I'd go all in. As far as the Stormtrooper, I think I'll pass and look for a part out to get the Death Star panel.😅

It seems to me that this is a rerelease of the MMS515 Return of the Jedi Deluxe Stormtrooper. Even a lot of the Endor photos look reused. I think that he was priced at $220, the basic (MMS514) was priced at $185. the only difference between those two releases was the Death Star base.

You know, the more I look back at the previous photos from the older set, it made me realize the diorama piece was exclusive to the deluxe. Interesting they decided to take the lazier rote to showcase this rather than updating all of the material. It's for certain a re-release though.

I was excited at first.. then I saw the LED wall was battery operated. Not worth the price for that imo when everything we're getting now is USB powered.

I'm sure they would've tacked on an additional $15 because of it, lol! I agree though, USB power is the way and I don't know why they haven't moved away from it fully.

@@poky3933yes and no, yes it’s 3 whole dollars cheaper than the “deluxe” release previous but they offered a standard version that was only $180. Some people don’t want the dios and a $60 surcharge for a basic trooper is definitely a big jump from just a few years ago.

I might grab 2 but I already have 2 of the ANH ones mms 267 I think? not sure the differences. the chest armor at least doesn't look like a bra that the RO bucket heads had. anyone with better eyes tell me if this is pretty close to mms 267?
