I'm glad LA is seeing the true James Cordon. Those who worked for him in the UK would quietly mention his inflated ego, arrogance and short fuse. He saw himself as a super star. I think he ought to cut back on his alcohol intake. It doesn't bring out the best in him.

I just watched that and despite being put under stress I don't think he was actually that rude. He didn't use bad language with either the security guard or the delivery man and he didn't aggressively demand that the guard let him in nor did he demand that the delivery driver vacate his parking space immediately, in fact James actually parked elsewhere. Egotistical, definitely. And he appears very fake in his adoration of others, I think. Lots of fake laughter/praise. Cosies up to people he can benefit from, career wise. It comes across very insincere. Occasionally the real Corden comes out, as it did at the restaurant and has done in previous events. I expect before long we'll hear from the real James Corden again.

As you've pointed out before in many videos, people who work in show businesses and have that need to be the centre of attention in that way often need to have some narcissistic tendencies simply due to the nature of their work. James Cordon doesn't just play characters for that attention but expects and receives that attention from his own persona that he has built. I think when you consider this and his previous behaviours it's much easier to believe the restaurants story, especially when his apology seems to have admitted some fault to the bad bits but denied some of the worse parts, therefore making the apology believable and possibly saving his brand.

I worked in "show business" from a very young age and have seen all types of personalities. Certain areas attract more narcissists than others. Sometimes it can be hard for a narcissist to rise because people catch on and don't want to work with them, and that makes it harder for them to progress their careers. I have found that people right at the top are often very humble and nurturing of others and not for pushing themselves forward...they're there for the passion of their art and that's what audiences are responding to.

I don't understand why you would order an egg yolk only omelette at a restaurant when you are supposedly allergic to egg whites when there are so many other less dangerous choices for your delicate stomach. Also the omelette was hers, the wife, not his so why can't she speak for herself. You have to have a big ego and a higher value of yourself than is real to get ahead in the entertainment industry, it's good social media is checking this.

He's from the UK, why would you go out for an omlette? And if you stooped that low why the hell would you complain? Going out for an omlette is extremely needy - heat a pan and whisk an egg at home - if you need to waste world resources for such a tiny need you really need help. I feel majorly sorry for him, he needs to get some confidence in himself- cooking an omlette really is not that complicated!

I don't think everyone was having omelette. Lots of restaurants have them on the menu. If you're out for lunch & not near your house, surely it's OK to eat omelette, if that's what you want. Banning people from ordering omelette, or telling them they're being lazy, & should wait 'til they're home & make it themselves is pretty extreme. Where would the ban stop? Would sandwiches, some salads, pancakes, and other simple dishes/snacks be removed from menus too? I think Corden sounds like a twat, but he shouldn't be judged because his wife wanted an omelette! 🙂

There is no food shortage in the US we make enough food to feed our country twice over and we still have enough left over to feed other countries. 😂 This is something I have been seeing from a certain corner of society. When is a person just RUDE and not NARCISSISTIC. I can be quite assertive myself. Then, I can become extremely assertive when appropriate. How do we differentiate. Not to SHOUT! 🙃😊 I have an example. I am from the Southern United States. This is a place where even if you are angry you are expected to conceal this anger in social situation almost to the point of appearing fake to someone who is not from there. I also lived in New York for quite a bit of time where a person who is not assertive will be sent home every day crying from being walked over by everyone else who in general are all assertive. Choose your side. 🧐

Many celebrities have deep insecurities that often cause them to act haughty. I think it’s part of the double-edged-sword of fame. The restauranteur may also be haughty, seeing as his restaurant is frequented by celebrities. It’s prices are probably ridiculously high. So expectations of customers would be, too. If what Corden says about the mistakes made by the kitchen is accurate, it sounds like a terrible “upscale” restaurant! And Corden did offer not only his side of the story, but an apology to the staff, and admitted his response was out of line. The narcissists that I know and am aware of would never, but never, say “I’m sorry.”they are more likely to escalate the situation in an effort to “prove” they’re right and the other person is wrong.

I'm not a fan of his by any means and can't watch him but I wonder how much the tone was set when at the beginning his wife was sent 2 meals that were contrary to her allergies. I know people who have to carry around epi pens and have been through horrendous emergency situations with their allergy and rushed to hospital. If someone I loved was put in that position TWICE when the restaurant had been informed then I'd be quite ranty. I mean, that's dangerous. People DO die due to allergies. Chefs are supposed to be up to date with how to prepare food for people with these restrictions. I'd expect a restaurant in Manhattan to be very good on the subject. I don't know about the rest of the story/stories but I'd have left after that...AND been extremely upset that someone was put in danger, let alone someone so close to me...AND I'd have been extremely vocal in my complaint so they didn't do it to others.
